Dr. and Mrs. D.G. Green accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Reese Anderson and children Marty Sue, David, Annette and Blake attended a John Edwards Ellis reunion held at Lagoon where they were joined by Mr. and Mrs. Roy Allen and family and Mr. and Mrs. Sid Garrett of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Ruth Hunsaker hosted a family dinner party at her home in Honeyville Sunday for her grandson Orvil J. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Owen I. Garfield Saturday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Brent Garfield and son Benjamin and daughter Rebecca of Granger. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Morris and daughter Jeanette accompanied by Mrs. Belle Porter of Morgan returned home Friday after spending a week in Santa Fe, N.M. visiting Mr. and Mrs. and daughMorris's ter Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Boyer. Mr. and' Mrs. R.L. Packer accompanied by their houseguests Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hickling of Sun City, Calif., have returned after an enjoyable vacation in Denver where they visited the ladies brother Mr. and Mrs. and sister-in-laRulon Standing. Mr. and Mrs. Hickling have now returned to their home in Sun City. Mrs. Hickling was the former Myrtle Standing. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Van Sweden spent Thursday in Evanston, Wyo., visiting Mrs. Van Swedens sister Mrs. Dorthea lowing son-in-la- Child. Arriving from Dureka, Nev., Tuesday to spend a few days visiting Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Watson and family were Mrs. Watsons sister Mrs. Beverly (Cannon) Petersen and daughter Jill and son David. Mrs. Petersen recently rettour in urned from a Europe where she went especially to meet her son Elder David Petersen who has just been released after fulfilling an LDS Mission in Holland. They toured many countries and points of interest. Upon arriving home Mrs. five-wee- k Pptersens daughter Janet be- came the bride of Robert Walpole of Bountiful in rites performed in the Salt Lake Temple. Mrs. Petersen hosted a wedding dinner at the Lions House in Salt Lake City for members of the bridal party and relatives of the bride and groom. Approximately 45 attended. They enjoyed cookouts, fishing, games and a social. Dr. and Mrs. D.B. Green attended funeral services for Mrs. Aletha Handy held in the Franklin ward chapel Wednesday. Mrs. Vernel Morrison attended a party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gaell Lindstrom in Logan Saturday as a guest of Mrs. Dorothy Lee of Las Vegas who entertained for friends who had been on the European tour together recently. A social and light refreshments were enjoyed. The Literary guild held their annual summer party at Preston Park Tuesday. An outdoor supper was enjoyed by 23 members. The Tremonton Stake High Priests and their partners and the widows of former High Priests enjoyed a party at Peterson Park Saturday evening. A large crowd attended. Mrs. Mae Versluis of Bountiful has been spending a few days visiting her brother and sister-in-laMr. and Mrs. Richard Calderwood and other relatives in this area. i t; ss- - g At Bear Lake Miss Phyllis Christensen, Mrs. Elva Korth, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Johnson and Mrs. Wendell Burgess and family were at Bear Lake Wednesday. Overnight guests of Mrs. Elva Korth Friday were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Baird of Concord, Calif. They are attending classes at Brigham Young university this week and also visiting Mr. and Mrs. William Griffiths in Brigham City and Dr. and Mrs. Richard Baird and family in Salt Lake City. Tuesday Mayor and Mrs. Max Mason were at the Salt Lake airport to meet Miss Mandy Tickard and Miss Shirley Swain of Hull, England, friends of the Mason's son Keith who is serving an LDS Mission in England. Mayor and Mrs. Mason accompanied them to points of interest in Salt Lake City and Logan where they enjoyed their first taste of Pizza at Fedricos.
