Watts Junior Sunday school with Janet Lemon and Barbara Ann Willard school had a series of traditional events as school year came to a close. Starting on Monday, May 22 they saw the movie Bridie of the Grand Canyon. Wednesday and Thursday were clean up days and on Thursday afternoon the annual softball game between the faculty and sixth graders with the faculty winning. After the game on Thursday the room mothers visited the class with treats. On Friday afternoon they saw the movie "Big Red after the movie atwere tendance awards presented for the year. The Willard LDS ward MIA presented a music festival in the Ward Cultural hall Tuesday, May 23. A series of numbers from class and family groups featured Glen Widdison as master of ceremonies and included: The Super Sixth Chorus A Simple and Band with Lemon and accompanied by Fine Helen Jane Lemon. programs of this type featuring home town talent is certainly appreciated by the community. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Sorensen and son Gary, from Garden Grove, Calif, have returned home after a two weeks vacation in Willard, where they visited with Mike's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Sorensen. While they were here they also visited with family in Idaho and in Ogden. On Sunday prior to their leaving a family dinner at the Howard Sorensen home included all their children and grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Sorensen and son Gary, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Kunzler and family from Ogden; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Whitlock and family, Willard, and Mr. and Mrs. Rae McClelland and family from Malad Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Thomasen from Sylmar, Calif, visited in Willard for wedding of and Meledy "Spanish Harlem" accompanied daughter Karen and Kevin by Helen Jane Lemon; "One Plus Bill Hall, "The Nothing, on Munds The MTA Parade" with Melanie, Callene and Michelle Mund, accompanied by Holly Mund singing "The Umbrella Man, "Boo Hoo, I Want my Mom, and "Outer Limits," Mr. with Tyler Nimble Finger, Blaine Fowers of June Leave Willard Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rash left on Saturday for Denver, Colo, where they will be making their home. Karen and two children Maren and David have been staying with Karen's parents for past six weeks. Prior to leaving Denver she visited with Mr. sister and brother-in-laand Mrs. Miles Allred and their four daughters in Ogden and with Mr. and Mrs. Milton Bingham and family in Roy. On Decoration Day, Mrs. Rash and two children, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Watts and daughter Adele visited for the day in Sandy with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Watts and children Wendiann and Darren. Lil Nell from the Adventures class was directed by Nancy Van Zweden and featured Jeff Cox as Granny; Ryan North, Villian; Randy Parkin, Nell; Blaine Johnson, Hero, and Dallen Young as the Rich Lady. The Willard ward Sunday school superintendency was son-in-la- FRUIT C0 rec-petio- reorganized Sunday with Lavelle Larsen becoming the new superintendent, and Byron CINNAMON Nebeker and Merle Ipsen named as assistant superin- tendents. Released after three years of service were Dean Baddley, and Dell superintendent, Braegger and Ardmus Perry, assistant superintendents. Visitors on Decoration Day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lemon were Mr. and Mrs. David Merchant from Midvale and their daughter and Capt. Robert and Elaine Leggatt and their children Jeff, Jolyn and Brian. Robert has recently completed a tour of duty at the Travis Airfield in Fairfield, Calif, and is gloing to be attending the University of Utah to complete his masters degree. He will be working for next three years with the Brigham ROTC Young University program. In the Willard Second ward on Sunday, Jo Shantel Wood, infant daughter of Ira and Jolene Wood was blessed and named by her father. Two young people were confirmed in the Willard Second ward on Sunday. They were Carolyn Carlsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Boyce Carlsen and Todd Baumann, son of Mr.i and Mrs. Edward Baumann. The Willard City Lady Lions met at the home of Irene Simonsen on Tuesday night, May 23. The ladys and guests enjoyed a talk and demonstrations by Jay Herbert, policeman from Brigham City.
