Spending a few weeks here with her parents is Mrs. A.J. Pease and children Ted, Jessie and Lyle. They are staying with the Ted Burts while Pease is working for his father, A.C. Pease in Logan. e They will leave in for Flint, Mich., where he will continue his studies. He has attended classes at BYU the past several months. , Pattie Burt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Burt is spending a week in Tucson, Ariz. She is visiting there with her brother and sister-in-laCapt. and Mrs. Ronald Burt and daughter Kristen. Pattie will return next week to resume studies at Utah State university for the summer months. A Memorial holiday visitor here was Gary and Diana Hammerland and children Lance, Jan and Margaret of Idaho Falls, Idaho. The Hammerlands daughter Margaret is staying at the home of grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Kent Jensen in Brigham City. She is dividing her time between them and a grandmother Mrs. Pat Hammerland here. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Eller traveled to Nephi last Saturday. They went to decorate graves and visit with relatives until evening. Attend Funeral The Ellers attended the funeral of a friends daughter Mrs. Dawn Berg in Pleasant Grove on Wednesday. Motoring to Tremonton on Wednesday were Mrs. JoAnn Morrill, Mrs. Betty Anderson and Mrs. Gertrude Moore. They attended the graveside services at the Riverview cemetary for the infant daughter of Robert and Darlene Belew. mid-Jun- Mrs. Verlie Jeppesen at- tended the services there with her daughter Mrs. Patsy Davis of Tremonton. here are Grandparents rejoicing with Fredic and Patsy Davis of Tremonton over the arrival of a baby boy June, 2. The baby was born in the Brigham City hospital and has two sets of grandparents here. They are Mr. and Mrs. George Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Jeppesen. Three sisters welcomed the newcomer on Monday at their home in Tremonton. Great grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Jeppesen celebrated her 82nd birthday recently. She makes her home in Brigham City. Vernal and Vergie Jeppesen returned here to spend the Memorial Day holiday, with relatives. They are staying at the home of their brother and sister-in-laKenneth and Verlie Jeppesen. They returned here after traveling to Manhatten Beach, Calif, to pick up their car, some articles of furniture and clothing. The Jeppesens had sold their home there and purchased a home in Brigham City. Accompanying them were Mr. a sister and brother-in-laand Mrs. Dewey (Gladyse) Hansen of Kaysville. The Jeppesens own a pick-u- p and camper they have been traveling in. They spent the opening of the fishing season in Utah in Blacksmith Fork canyon. They plan to occupy their new home in Brigham by the middle of June. Cub scout pack 113 held a pack meeting in the ward cultural hall May 19. A skit and puppet show by pack members was enjoyed by the 25 people who attended. Ralph Trimble was introduced as a new cub member. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Ron Trimble a Plans for booths in the and the sale of tickets for the event was discussed by director Bob Cheney. The event to be held in the Rees Pioneer park, June 10. Punch and cookies were served by leaders. The June pack meeting will be held in the Corinne City park June 16. The planned agenda will include a baseball game between fathers and sons. Cub pack 217 held a pack meeting in the ward cultural hall May 25. A nature hunt was enjoyed by the boys. They reported objects found on the hike. They reported a fun time. They stopped there to visit briefly and with their daughter Kirk and Carol Webb and son James. The Webbs joined them to spend the weekend fishing and camping at the Starvation reservoir. The group caught their limits of fish at the excellent fishing spot. A homecoming testimonial is planned Sunday at 7 p.m. in the Mantua LDS ward for Elder Kim Jeppsen, who recently returned from the Alaska-BritisColumbia mission. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harper Jeppsen. Elder Jeppsen labored in Victoria, Vancouver, and the Prince George and Queen Charlotte Islands. Future plans include studies at Utah State university. He is a 1969 graduate of Box h son-in-la- - Elder Kim from an returned Jeppsen LDS mission. During their stay they were houseguests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Burton and Troy Burton. They toured some of the points of interest there. The group fished at Flaming Gorge before returning home. They reported good fishing at that popular vacation spot. Mayor Art Danielson, wife and children, Peggy and Paul, took time out at the close of school for the children for an interesting vacation trip. Monument THE NEW HOOVER Valley, Canyon lands, arches and the beautiful wonders of nature were observed by the group. Lake Powell was reported to be low, due to the continued drought in southern Utah. A tour of the dam which took them down into the bottom of the structure provided the group with a most interesting experience. They stopped briefly at Page, Ariz. before returning home from a trip that lasted four days. They reportedly traveled 1100 miles during that time. Vacation Trip Mr. and Mrs. Don Woodward and children Mike, Natalie, Tim and Maralie took advantage of the seasonal lull at the close of the school year to enjoy a five day vacation trip. The group traveled to Disneyland and to San Diego, Calif, to visit the famous zoo there. They took a harbor cruise and viewed the U.5. Naval ships at anchor. A safari through Lion Country and a tour of Sea World provided d them with a trip. The group stopped in Las Vegas, Nev. where they toured the Hoover dam before returning home. The Woodwards Indian girl, Evangaline, left for her home in New Mexico before they left on their trip. Their son Roger left for Mexico with the Spanish class at Box Eider high school. Lee and Kristine Nicholas of West Corinne are happy over the arrival of a baby boy May, 30, in the Brigham hospital.
