Holy Lands Rather than ten days away from home, the local residents felt centuries slip away as they arrived in the Holy Lands and traveled to Nicosia, Tel Aviv and Beersheba before leaving to tour the Biblical lands. Beersheba included a market stop and then the trip continued to Bethlehem, Hebron, and on into Jerusalem. In Jerusalem they visited many religious shrines as well as modern structures of Israel. McCune The guy who said that lived a long time ago but he must have had a crystal ball and was looking ahead to the opening day of fishing season 1972. I understand most of the popular fishing holes were pretty crowded. I can understand why. Its been a food many years since I used to spend a summer afternoon with a bent pin on the end of a long willow branch. I dare say there arent any kids that fish that way any more. With all the fancy equipment available now I doubt if a fish would even give that kind of gear a second look. One thing that hasnt changed though, Im sure, is the thrill of the sport. Especially if you happen to land a few. Don Marquis defined fishing as A delusion entirely surrounded by liars in old clothes.
