A . By Mrs. Irving ChrlitenMii On Thursday evening May 25 the Bear River ward MIA presented a musical program for the family home evening at the Pioneer Nursing home in Brigham City. The following program under the direction of Stephanie Gardner was enjoyed. Included was a piano duet by Becky Hendrickson and Christine Christine Burt Anderson; played a clarinet solo; Lora Lee Davis gave a humorous reading; Lisa Oman, Teri Hansen and Teresa Anderson sang a song accompanied by Pat Anderson; vocal' trid by Stephanie Gardner, Christine Anderson and Becky Hendrickson accompanied by Christine Burt then Stephanie and Christine Burt played a piano duet. Weekend Visitors Visiting during the wekend with Mrs. Lavon Dallin were Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Dallin from Salt Lake City, Mr.-an- d Mrs. Ralph Stewart from Brigham City and Verl Iverson of Ogden. Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Iverson were Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie VThompson and five sons from salt Lake City, McAldon and Richard Thompson Thompson from Phoenix, Mr. and Mrs. Lindsey Hansen and three children and Verl Iverson from Ogden. Barbara Hawkes of Salt Lake City spent last week with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Hawkes before going to Jackson Lake to work for the summer. The Adventurer Explorers under the direction of the MIA leaders had a canoeing party on Tuesday evening. They paddled down the Bear River from Honeyville bridge to the Bear River, bridge then went to our local park for lunch. Mrs. Carl Staples of Ogden was a guest last week at the home of Myrtle and Burton Anderson. On Tuesday Mrs. Staples, Myrtle and Lila Woodruff of Tremonton spent the day in Trenton, visiting Elaine Brown. Myrtle took her mother home on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Nessler and daughter Amy and Mrs. Damsel Nelson were recent visitors at West Jordon. They also toured the Kennecott Copper Mine. Dena Christensen wishes to thank the friends who called to say hello to her when she was in Bear River recently. and Carol Christensen children Kari and Todd left early Tuesday morning for their home in Sylmar, Calif. Kari and Todd Christensen I from California accompanied the Elmo Christensen family on a little trip. They stayed Friday night May 26 in Logan canyon then Saturday and Sunday forenoon was spent at the ranch north of Soda Springs. Floyd and Elaine Jensen from Burley, Idaho have spent the past two weekends with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Vay Jensen. Two weeks ago they came for the wedding of Elaines sister and last week they attended the reception for a cousin. Mr. and Mrs. Rasmus Christensen were in Salt Lake City on Tuesday May 30 to help their j I j j j j little granddaughter Laura Hamilton celebrate her third birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Clayson were in Richmond for Memorial Day weekend. Sheryl Braegger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Braegger met with a painful accident Sunday afternoon when the saddle on the horse she was riding turned and she fell on the hard suface road. She is in Cooley hospital suffering with a fractured skull. Four stitches were taken in her elbovtf besides the numerous scratches and road burns she received. Three Box Elder High school students exhibited three of the five Rosette (purple ribbon) steers at the Intermountain Junior Livestock show recently at the Davis county fairgrounds.
