The Carbon County commissioners endorsed the proposal at a meeting last week. In so doing, the commissioners expressed their financial inability to do the work at this time, but agreed to assist in. seeking aid from the state department of Publicity and Industrial Development, and also agreed to aid further by allowing the use of county equipment if it could be arranged. The proposal of the asphalt company is to construct a five mile section of road through Whitmore and Water! Canyons. Engineers in making a preliminary survey have estimated the cost of a gravel surfaced road between these points as approximately $25,000. It was pointed out that the Rock plies.
