Volume II has three articles on Bluff history, written by Dr. Helen Redshaw 90th Birthday open house Helen Redshaws grandchildren and are hosting an open house celebrating her 90th birthday on Sunday, April 10, from 2 until 5 p.m. at the Bernice and James Barry home on the great-grandchildr- en Gary Shumway of Cal State Fullerton, Michael Hurst, former researcher for the State Historical Society, and Hilda Perkins of Blanding. A look at Anasazi culture through the eyes of Steve Lovells fifth grade class, and anecdotes of Anasazi finds by Patsy Shumway provide a captivating look at the past. Entertainment in the early days of San Juan County is examined by Jean Bayles, Thelma Tate and Janet Wilcox. Ozro Hunts eye witness account of the Bluff horse races II add another dimension to the entertainment section. An extensive survey of the effects of the influenza epihas been demic of 1918-192-0 carefully prepared by Dr. Bob He presented a comparative look at three areas: Grand County, Blanding and Monticello, and the Navajo reservation. Friends are cordially invited. No gifts, please. Stake conference Francis M. Lyman, president of the Blanding Utah LDS Stake announces that Elder Dean L. Larsen, member of the Presidency of the First Quorum of the Seventy, will be the presiding authority at Stake conference on April Sessions will be held on Saturday, April 16, at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, April 17, at 10 a.m. The Saturday session is a special opportunity for adults to receive instruction and counsel. All meetings will be held in the Stake Center, located at 800 North 100 West in Blanding. President Lyman invites all members of the stake and nonmember friends to attend the conference meetings. 16-1- 7. ELK RIDGE RESTAURANT Artist educator named guest curator for exhibit at Santa Fe museum Artist in Education at Montezuma Creek Elementary School, has been named guest curator at the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian in Santa Fe Delphine Tanner and Lorenzo Rockwell will work on the video with Hucko. It will focus on the childrens lives through interviews, play and chores, and the for an exhibit of Navajo childrens art. The exhibit will open in February 1989 and run through May. About 90 paintings and drawings from elementary-agchildren will be framed and curated for the show. Also scheduled is a childrens opening and exchange, poster, catalogue, and an educational selves. The exhibit will be called Have You Seen a Rainbow at Night? The core of the show is currently being toured by the Utah Arts Council Visual Art Program. Creek students Fawn Morton and Bradley A, Palmer Megan Rae Morton is pleased to announce the marriage of her mother, Fawn, to Bradley A. Palmer. Fawn is a daughter of Mr. D. Brent Olsen and the late Sherian Olsen of Linden, Utah. Brad is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis A. Palmer and Mrs. Barbara Anne Palmer of Blanding. Brad and Fawn will exchange vows on April 8 in the Lindon Third Ward Chapel. A reception will follow the cere mony. An open house will be held in their honor on Saturday, April 9, from 7 until 9:30 p.m., at the Blanding North Cultural Hall. Fawn and Brad are both employed by Signetics Corporation in Orem, Utah. Brad recently graduated from Utah Valley Community College and will continue his education in the fall. Brad, Fawn and Megan will make their home in Orem.
