Show U.S. Senate Robert F. 4 Bennett s ' f A. C Republican $ , $&&&& Scott Leckman During his first term, Senator Bennetts priorities have reflected the concerns of his Utah constituents. From his seat on the Appropriations Committee, he has fought to ensure that Utah highway projects receive their fair share of federal transportation health care system and then led funding. He opposed a massive government-ru- n reform. He has consistently promoted efforts toward meaningful health-ca- re land-u- se policies based on common sense and sound science. And he remains a leading congressional voice in calling for a simplification and restructuring of the U.S. tax code. Most recently, Senator Bennett was asked to chair the Senate Special Committee on the Year 2000 Technology Problem. Dr. Scott Leckman, a native Utahn and surgeon in Salt Lake City, serves on the citizens advocacy group, and on board of directors of RESULTS, an the advisory board at the Bennion Center, a service organization at the University of Utah. He is past president of the Salt Lake Surgical Society, member of the Salt of the Utah Lake Rotary Club, and is serving his second term as Medical Association. In 1994, Dr. Leckman received the Utah Medical Associations Community Service Award. State with a degree in Physics, took courses in electronics and worked for many years as an electronic engineer. I managed a successful technical sales company for nine years. I have made a study of government, economics, and especially our Constitution.
