WALKER LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR 14-06- 0 September 1, 1998 Dear Fellow Utahn: The state of Utah is undergoing many changes and taking on exciting challenges! People from around the world are being drawn to Utah for its quality of life and diversity of attractions. This November, you will once again be empowered to help shape the future of our state by practicing your right to vote. We are pleased to provide you with the 1998 Voter Information Pamphlet. This pamphlet e issues and candidates that will be is a traditional means of providing information on on the November ballot. This year you will vote on candidates running for U.S. Congress, the state legislature, judicial retention and state school board. You will also be able to vote on six proposed amendments to the Utah Constitution. state-wid- In an effort to make this pamphlet more informative, this year we have included a short biographical sketch and picture of each judge up for retention. As before, an impartial analysis on each proposition, instructions on voting, and other pertinent information are also included. hope this pamphlet will help you make an educated choice on the leaders and policies that will govern the future of Utah.
