Show Miiy 8A Emery County Progress Tuesday, April 6, 1993 Emery FHA competes at state Students celebrate Cliffords birthday Nineteen FHA members from the Emery County High School Chapter attended the state convention at the Marriott Hotel in Salt Lake City March 26 and 27. Two students, Harmony Curtis and Adam Thomas, will serve on the state officer council next year. Harmony was elected to be Utahs candidate for a national officer. The gold medal winners will compete at national convention in Anaheim, Calif. , in July. Birthday parties are always fun, and everyone knows that the more guests, the more fun the party. This week at Ferron Elementary, 50 children were invited to Clifford, The Big Red Dogs birthday party. Cleveland Elementary-Apri- Emery High School Players of the Week All kindergarten students must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 1992, to be eligible for registration. Age must be substantiated by an original birth certificate to be presented at time of registration. Players of the Week at Emery High are Dean Stilson and Krissy Childs. Dean, a junior, pitched Emery to a 0 win over Uintah in the region opener at Vernal. He allowed just two hits while striking out eight batters in going the distance. He also doubled and scored one of Emery's runs. Krissy, a senior, has played well all season for the girls' softball team as short stop and the numberthree hitter.
