She is a member of the schools math team, business team, National Honor Society, and is listed in Whos Who Among American High School Students. She is a cheerleader at Emery and has been on the drill team. Kristi is currently serving as the president of FBLA and is student body secretary. In her business category, Kristi has attended Business Week at Utah State, represented the school at the AEG Olympia National Scholastic Typing Contest, served as a computer lab assistant for CEU night classes and as a typist on an engineering project. She has received awards in typing, shorthand and machine transcription at region meets. Outside of school, Kristi has typed manuscripts for the high school accreditation committee, participated in a typing pool, served as the church t, organist and musical and has taught piano lessons. She plans to attend college to study accounting. i - She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Tom (Donna Jane) Conover, Bellevue, Wash.; Mrs. William (Ruth Ann) Phillips, West Valley City; two brothers, Donald Cox, Annabelle; Fred Cox, Orangeville, one sister, Ruth Connole, Salt Lake City; five grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren. Funeral was Saturday at the McDougal Golden Rule Funeral Home. Graveside services were at the Price City Cemetery. ..i- M : AK i .V ,r ' vi . t - - fi- ' - Ernie Thompson Ernie is the son of Larry and Elrain Thompson and is the schools sterling scholar in science. At Emery he has been active in band, math team, Honor Society, and is an Explorer Scout. Ernie has served as cocaptain of the math team and has been involved in organization of geology field trips, biology labs, physics experiments and projects and has participated in the Alternate Energy Contest. The senior has earned his Eagle award, Duty to God award, and is first assistant in the Priests Quorum in his church. He is the post president in the Explorers and has participated in several Eagle projects. . After graduating from Emery High, he plans to attend Ricks college and then transfer to the University of Utah. Rusty Truman Ifpl jJl Lillian Larsen Wayne Kokborg Sorensen, 16, of Orangeville, died Nov. 22, 1990 at his home following a valiant Lillian Greaves Larsen, 88, of Cleveland, died Nov. 19, 1990 at the Emery County Nursing Home in Ferron. She was bom Nov. 1, 1902 at Ephraim to Albert and Lorinda Peterson Greaves, the sixth child in a family of 13 children. She married James Wilford Larsen on June 5, 1923 at South Jordon; their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death. She lived in Ephraim until her marriage, when she moved with her husband to Cleveland. They moved to Los Angeles, Calif., in 1942, where she worked in an airplane defense factory as a riveter until the end of WWn. Following her husbands retirement, they moved back to Cleveland. As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints, she served in many teaching and leadership positions. She had a love of music and sang with the South Los Angeles Relief Society Stake Singing Mothers Chorus. She enjoyed quilting and all types of needlework, gardening and homemaking. She is survived by three sons. Max L. (Dora) Larsen, Hunting-ton- ; Gordon A. (Martha) Larsen, Murray; Theron James (LaRae) Larsen, South Jordan; four sisters, Virginia Larson, Anaheim, Calif.; Nellie Alkire, Lakewood, Calif.; Mary Rieben, Salt Lake City; one brother, Moyle Greaves, Glendale, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; 20 numerous nieces and nephews; and a special cousin, Arvilla Anderson, West Valley City. She was preceded in death by two granddaughters. Funeral services were Friday, Nov. 23, at the Cleveland LDS Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Cleveland City Cemetery under struggle with Duchesnes Muscu- He was bom March 25, 1974 at Provo to Allan Preben and Karen Kokborg Lauritsen Sorensen. He was a junior at Emery County High School. He was veiy interested in diesels and enjoyed assembling model trucks and airplanes. While in junior high, he played drums with the school band. He loved the outdoors and being with his family. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Karen and Stephen Dunn, Orangeville; his father and stepmother, Allan and Mae Sorensen, Clawson; two brothers, Clint and David Sorensen, both Orangeville; grandparents, Jens Lauritsen, Denmark; Vemer Sorensen and EJjner Pedersen, both Provo; and two aunts, Mrs. John (Leila) Hechtle, Provo; and Mrs. Conrad (Anne Marie) Rawlings, Seattle, Wash. accom-panies- Editors note: Rusty will be featured in next weeks Progress. The senior is active in Peer Helpers, Physics Club, drill team, French Club, band, math team, and is listed in Whos Who... She is Peer Helpers president and has served as second vice president in the past. She has participated in several state math contests. Cindy is presently the Laurel class president in her church and volunteered her time to help with the Special Olympics. She plans to attend the University of Utah after graduation to major in engineering or mathematics. ilH American Heart Association Local teachers given training in first aid Teachers and FERRON administrators throughout the Emery District are now prepared to handle medical emergencies. Following a Utah Health Department directive, teachers and administrators in every school in the district have been trained and certi-fide- d in CPR and in a first aid course entitled, What to Do Until the Ambulance Arrives. In two one-da- y sessions, those who volunteered were d taught by state-certifie- trainer Sharon Jensen, a 1970. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints. She is survived by four daughters, Stella Liddiard, East Carbon n. Celia Cox Charlesworth, 81, died Nov. 20, 1990 at her daughters home in West Valley City. She was bom June 27, 1909 at Orangeville to John Henry and Cornelia Thayne Cox. She married Winford D. Charlesworth on Feb. 16, 1931 at Price. He died Sept. 9, 1985. Mortuary. BUNDERSON Monument James Brian Critchlow, 20, of Price, died Nov. 24, 1990 at a Prohospital of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was bom Sept. 24, 1970 at Price to Judson Bud D. and Cherie Rack Critchlow. He graduated from Carbon High School in 1988. At the time of his death, he was a student at the College of Eastern Utah. He enjoyed skiing, weightlifting and band. He was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He particin pated in the Price Missionary Alliance Church and the Church of Jesus Saints. Christ of Latter-daHe is survived by his parents, Price; one brother and one sister, John David Critchlow and Christy Lynn Critchlow, both Price; grandmothers, Sophia Critchlow and Peggy Lillie Fiack, both Price; and his fiance, Angela Mason, Aurora. Funeral will be Tuesday, Nov. 27, 1 p.m., at the Price LDS Stake Center, 150 S. 500 East, where friends may call one hour prior to the services.
