The new program, authorized in May by Congress, invited 2,500 leaders and public policy makers and their bilingual translators from Russia to come to the United States. As part of the program, the ProvoOrem Chamber assisted by providing a two full days of business and tours. Other governmental-typlocal organizations that participated in the program include The LDS Church, BYU and Utah Brothers continue with rustic interiors Valley State College also participated. "It was truly an honor not only for the Chamber, but for many of our local industries to have the opportunity to share their business with the leaders from Russia," said Steve Densley, chamber president. "If you are in any way involved in the decision-makin- g process for your company, this is the most important day of the year for you to gain the vital insight you will need," said Steve- Densley, presidentCEO of the Chamber. The conference is designed to bring leaders on the hot topics facing our community and state. Speakers from throughout the Valley and state are scheduled to address these important issues. More speakers will be added before the conference and the schedule is subject to change. Billings will address a variety of different topics each for 15 minutes. Shelley Thomas, senior vice president of communications for the Salt Lake Olympic Committee, will be the keynote speaker for the Leadership Conference, She will speak during the buffet lunch. After the break, the final set of speakers include: Orem's new mayor, Chris Yandow; Steve Gleason, Provo City Airport; Walter Barrus, president of the local chapter of the American Red Cross and Keven Stratton, president of Cascade Fairways.
