Joey died doing what he loved, riding his bike up Provo Canyoa Joey was born February 14. 1968, to Jose Baldemar, Sr. and imfllda Garza Valdez. Ha attended Hondo High School in Hondo, Texts. He served an IDS mission to Akron, Ohio. He married Heather Leavitt in the Salt Lake LDS Tbmple on June 15, 1991. Joey was the proud father of five beautiful children. While attending TJVSC in 1992, he was voted student-bod- y He graduated from BYU in 1998, and taught at Orem Jr. High School, where he also served as an assistant football coach. He also owned the Daylight Donut Shop in Orem. SALT LAKE CITY (AP) Another prominent Utah family has donated campaign cash in the names of young children to presidential hopeful George W. Bush, Three children of Scott Marquardt, president of Management & Training Corp., were listed as contributing $1,000 apiece to the Bush campaign earlier this summer. Author David Mastio, Curtis Ray Taylor Joey is a noble and great one who brought out the best in everyone who knew him. He had the unique talent of turning his ideas into realities. He could play any sport, could fix anything, and had hobbies too numerous to list Joey is survived by his wife, Heather; his children: Jose (Trey) Baldemar III, Kateland MykoL. Tyler Gustavo, Kylee Megan and Kody Bryan; his parents, his sister, Cindy OTyson) Horlacher; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, niecos, nephews and hundreds of friends and acquaintances whose lives were touched by Joey's love for his family and the gospel. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 22, 1999, at 11 a.m. in the Orem Sharon Stake Center, 545 S. 800 East, Orem, Utah. Friends may call at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 E. 800 North, Orem, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening and at the church Wednesday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to service. Burial W'll be in the Orem City Cemetery. Douglas William Hansen Douglas William Hansen died peacefully, Thursday, September 16, 1999, while watching the BYU football game at his home. He was born December 16, 1928, in Los Angeles to Edgar John and Mary Nicholas Hansen. He married Dorene "Pat" Hansen November 6, 1853, in the St. George Temple. Doug was raised in Los Angeles, graduating from Fremont High School. He was a great baseball player, and upon graduating he was signed with the Hollywood Stars baseball team. He played for several minor league teams before signing with the Cleveland Indians. He served in the Korean War, afterwards returning to the Cleveland Indians. After his first child was born, he decided to settle down in one place and moved to Provo, Utah. He attended BYU, and managed and played on the Provo Timps baseball team. He also worked in management at Geneva Steel. When his son, Bob, was born with a congenital heart condition requiring treatment and surgery at the UCLA Medical Center, Doug moved his family to Ontario, Calif., where he worked at Kaiser Steel in Fontana, Calif. After seven years, and with the success of Bob's surgery, he moved back to Orem to resume working at Geneva Steel. In 1976 he left Geneva Steel to work in the insurance industry, achieving the Million Dollar Round Table. Doug loved sports of all kinds, and , y j !om 'jaid d sub-averti- . He was born April 12, 1921, in Payson, Utah, to Jesse Powell Taylor and Dora May Curtis. He graduated from Provo High School and attended Utah Trade Tech and BYU for one year Mare he was stricken with in his later years played golf. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was magical with children and they would surround him when he walked in a room. He would swing them in a way he called "Hey, Hey, Little Monkey" and always had a treat for them in his coat pocket. He has been a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints. He has served as Stake Mission President, Stake Missionary, High Priest Group Leader and held many other stake and ward callings. He is survived by his wife, Pat and his children: Dorene (Dale) McElroy, American Fork; Teri (Matt) Taylor, Pleasant Grove; Lisa Smith, Orem; Julie (Ed) Moore, Las Vegas; Jennie (Les) Johnson, South Jordan; and son Gary(Lisa) Hansen, of Mapleton. He has 14 grandchildren. Doug calls his nephew Dennis (Janet) Hansen and t heir children of Orem, his own. He is also survived by a sister, Ruth Bateman, of St. George, and a brother Kenneth Hansen of Yorba Linda, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Ora Maureen Hansen, his son, Bob Hansen, his sister Neva Tippetts, and brother Howard Hansen. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 20, 1999, at 11a.m. in the Orem Park 7th Ward, 400 S. 1200 West, Orem. A viewing will be held Sunday evening, September 19, 1999, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Sundberg-OlpiMortuary, 495 S.
