Wheat was up 5 to 2 W cents; corn up 6 ' to 4 4; oats up 3 4 to 2 and soybeans up 9 to 10 cents. The market, which opened mostly lower, did a turnaround within a few minutes on local short-coveriand professional demand. Toward midday, DeKalb-PfizGenetics, a subsidiary of Heinold Commodities Inc., predicted sharply lower corn and soybean acreages this year. The estimate was for 58.68 million acres of corn, down from 89.1 million last year, and 56.45 million acres of soybeans compared to 72.2 in 1981. The market rallied further on that news, hitting stops in all pits. The large professional firm that initiated the morning rally bought 7 million bushels of May soybeans and 2 million bushels of May 35 com during the session. Sheep 150; not enough any class to test. Good volume also was reported in soybean 011 and soybean meal. Country movement was light.
