They might even start singing the words to the song about "a great big, beautiful tomorrow smiling at the end of every day." Last year was a long day for the Pioneers and this season provides a tomorrow which should help erase some bad memories. The Pioneers may not have a winning season or finish in the first division but they're certain to give the other teams lots of trouble. Coach Lloyd Jacobsen suffered through a frustrating year in 1973 with only 26 players on the squad the attack are quarterback Rick Nelson and split end Robert Davis.
