If she can get them started Dlavinir. they'll soon think of things along the same lines. Have them act out animals and birds in pantomine and then guess what's been acted. Fill a collection of glass tumblers tum-blers with different amounts of water and then tap these with pencils to make niuslc like a xylophone. HELEN'S FAVORITE: Broiled Shrimp Sandwiches (Makes 9 Open-Faced) 3 5-ounce cans large shrimp 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese 2 cups chili sauce 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 9 slices white bread Combine cheese, chill sauce, Worcestershire sauce and shrimp. Trim crust from bread. Toast en one side, turn and cover each slice with shrimp mixture. Broil 5 minutes min-utes and serve. Let them go grocery shopping with pictures! Each child makes a list, then cuts out pictures to fill the list. The one who finishes soonest is the winner. Children have hand puppets which can be made from white socks. Faces can be put on with crayon or pieces of colored felt pasted on them. Toothpicks can be pasted on paper to make pictures. In this space age most youngsters young-sters would enjoy making a star map, using a guide and different colored stars against a dark paper pa-per background. Finding cars has always been a favorite. Children sit at the windows win-dows and count them, pick ut pw oni or certain color. |
