Show B.D.AA- FLASHES by Jim Abplanalp B.D.A.A. MEMBERS TO SEE SEVEN "BEE" BALL GAMES! B.D.A.A. members are in for a special treat this summer, as word has just been received that negotiations nego-tiations have been made allowing them to see the Salt Lake City Bees im action against all the other seven Pacific Coast League teams. According to President Frank. Zaccaria, after contacting Bee prexy Eddie Lcishman, all BDAA members, their wives and children under age 16 will be admitted to seven Salt Lake home games, each game against a different team. Data are being selected, and all BDAA members will be notified through this column just as soon as possible. We are Very happy to announce this special arrangement with the Bee baseball organization and hope all members will take advantage The Salt Lake ball club, 1959 P. C. League champion, are again a very good team and we feel this will be top-notch entertainment. LITTLE LEAGUE READY I The Bingham area Little League is about ready to open play. A schedule has been drawn up, with games being played every Monday and Thursday. Director John Osoro has organized organ-ized a fine league and will have capable volunteers to help manage, umpire and keep score. The BDAA has purchased several dozen new baseballs, and the uniforms and other equipment are in good condition con-dition to start the season off with a bang. The Little League will get underway Monday, May 23 and teams for a Babe Ruth League are being lined up. This group will be comprised of 13 and 14-year olds. |
