Show TEACHERS TAKE SAME PAY SCALE Teachers in Jordan School District Dis-trict have accepted the same salary schedule for 1960-61 as they have had th s past year, the district Board of Education announced Tuesday night. Contracts were mailed to teachers teach-ers Msnday and should be back within 1 0 days, the board said. The salary schedule ranges from $3,936 to $6,084 after 14 years for teachers with bachelor' degrees. de-grees. The board also voted to raise student fees in the district's junior and senior high schools. Most of the raise wJl be in the form of book deposits which will be refundable re-fundable at the end of the school year. Junior high student fees will be boosted from $1 to $6, with students stu-dents receiving a $4 refund when books are returned at the close of the term. High school fees, including the optional $5 yearbook cost, will be raised from $14 to $21. Of this amount, $6.50 will be refunded at the end of the school year. Boundaries for the new Cottonwood Cotton-wood Elementary School also were accepted by the board. Members of the board also voted to retain the firm of Goddard, Sunl-ville Sunl-ville and Griffin as auditors for the district' annual audit. |
