Attending the Festival 'of Trees in the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City Thursday were Mrs. Melba Hess, Mrs. Mildred Smith, Mrs. Mabel Hansen, Mrs. Millie Welling, Mrs. Isabella Hess, Mrs. Voylet Grover, Mrs. Alette Sutherland and Mrs. Elma Petersen. They accompanied a group of senior citizens from Bear River Valley. About 45 were in the group. They also visited Trolley Square and enjoyed dinner at a downtown restaurant. ; Overnight guests of Mrs. Rachel Burton on Thursday were Mr. and Mrs. Ron Crane and son, Matthew, of Herriman. Friday Mrs. Burton accompanied them to Snowville where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Todd Garban-at- i and family. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Smith and family visited Mr: and Mrs. Lynn Kimber and family in Ogden on Satur-- i day. They visited Christmas Tree Village and enjoyed dinner at the Utah Noodle i Cafe. Visiting E. Forrest Mun-so- n on Wednesday afternoon were Mr. and Mrs. L. E; Patterson of Fish Haven. Mr. and Mrs. Wynn Hansen have returned from a week's vacation in Seattle where they were house of their son and Lt. Col. and Mrs. Scott Hansen and family. While there they attended a party at the Hansen home for members of the ROTC staff and their partners. Returning home Friday after spending the past six months on special assignments from Hill AFB were Mr. and Mrs. Claine Grover. They spent three months in Kansas and three months in Jacksonville, Ark. They report it is good to be back home. Visiting' with them Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Ron Cowderick and son, Claine, and daughter, Colleen, Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Allen and twins, Andy and Zak, and Mrs. Lorilyn Cowderick of Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. John Marshall had their small daughter blessed in Sacrament Meeting in the Belmont Ward Chapel on Sunday. She was blessed by her grandfather, Leon Grover, and given the name of Jennifer Marshall. Following the meeting, a dinner party was Held at the Grover home. Officers and teachers of the Primary held a Christmas party at the ward building Saturday evening, along with their partners. Mrs. Donetta Petersen spent the weekend visiting her daughter, Mrs. Louise Meade, and family in Grang' er. The small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Archibald was blessed by her father in Sacrament Meeting on Sunday and given the name of Cami Lea Archibald. Foll owing the meeting, a dinner family, Mrs. Veda Mason, Mrs. Vilate Archibald of Tremonton, Mr. and Mrs. Darvel Garn and sons, Michael and Kevin, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Garn and two daughters, and Mr. and Mrs. Oleen Garn of West Fielding. The Social Development Club met with Mrs. Mildred Smith as hostess for their annual Christmas party Friday afternoon. Christmas stories were given by Mrs. Mildred Smith, Mrs. Millie Welling and Mrs. Edith Welling. Gifts were exchanged. Light refreshments were served. Mrs. Flo Munson and Mrs. Helen Mason spent Wednesday in American Fork visiting Mrs. Munson's brother, Orson Godfrey of Lehi who is seriously ill in the American Fork Hospital where he is receiving medical care. Mr. and Mrs. DeVere Adams and Mrs. Leona Adams attended a wedding breakfast held at the Red Flame Restaurant in Bounti- ful on Friday, honoring Patriarch and Mrs. Robert (Shirley Steed) Telford who were married in rites performed in the Salt Lake Temple that morning. A lovely program was enjoyed. On Dec. 9 Patriarch and Mrs. Telford will leave for a week's cruise on the Caribbean. Attending the wedding ceremony in the Idaho Falls Temple Dec. 3, where Miss Lynette Godfrey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Darrell L. Godfrey, became the bride of Dale Price, son of Mr. and Mrs. Evan Piatt Price of Samaria, were Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Godfrey, Mr. and Mrs. GailGodfrey, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Godfrey, Bishop showers were held for Lynette, prior to her marriage. Mrs. Rex Godfrey hosted a Tupperware shower at her home. Mrs. Christine Gardner of Logan and Julie Eddie a showof Garland er at the home of Mrs. Ernest Abel in Garland. Miss Vonda Christensen held a shower at the home of Mrs. Von Christensen in Tremonton. A lovely quilt was tied and presented to the bride-to-bLynette was the recipient of many lovely and useful gifts at the showers and the reception. Mr. and Mrs. DeVere Adams attended a Christmas Bridgerland Appaloosa Club party at the Lions Lodge in Smithfield Saturday evening. DeVere Adams was of the5 elected club for the following year. A lovely dinner was enjoyed. Prizes were awarded. Mrs. Maurice Wilcox and family, Mrs. Ann Bingham and family, spent the weekend visiting Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Wood and family in Roosevelt. Mrs. Velda Wood had been spending the past week at the Wood home in Roosevelt. Sunday they all attended Sacrament Meeting where the small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kirk. Wood was blessed by her father and given the name of Cami Kay Wood. Others who attended a family jiinner party at the Wood home in addition to those already mentioned were Mr. and Mrs. Bob Sheppard and family, Mrs. Delwyn Sheppard and daughter, Janice, of Levan. Primary officers, Mrs. Brian Burbank, Mrs. Michael Litchford, Mrs. Kraig Page and Mrs. Ferron Thayne had been busily making preparations for this event for the past couple of weeks. Following the dinner, a program was presented. Miss Carolyn Holdaway sang for the group. Mrs. Roger Mason and Mrs. Eldon Johnson favored with Christmas piano duets and Mrs. Zane Wheatley gave Christmas readings. Bishop and Mrs. Jon Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Layne Gardner were invited guests for the evening. The Charles Litchford family was in for a big surprise one evening last week. Airman Jeff Litchford arrived "out of the blue" at the Litchford home and it was truly a surprise. Pat and Garry Bessinger and son, Sam, helped Jeff carry it out by bringing him home from the airport in Salt Lake City. Jeff is on a training tour of duty in Nevada and was able to spend four days at home. He returned to Las Vegas on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Thales Cannon also had a most pleasant surprise recently. Their daughter, Judy Deakin, came in from San Jose, Calif, to visit her parents for several days. She was joined by her husband, Robert, for the return trip home, the Cannon family were dinner guests last week at the home of their daughter, Reta, (Mrs. Richard Smith) and family in Kaysville.
