' With Thanksgiving right around the corner it is time ; to break out the bread' crumbs, call out the cranberry sauce and march out the mashed potatoes and gravy. Now is the time to remember family and friends. And it is my friends in Honeyville that I would ( GARLAND SHERIFF Mark Spence points out three bullet holes in the windshield of a truck owned by Robert Campbell of Garland. A fourth shot went through the hood of the vehicle. Vandals also slashed all six tires. The vandalism occurred while the truck was parked near the Garland Post Office Friday evening. Damage is estimated at $820. A $100 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of the vandals. Garland Way Ren-Ra- y Guests For Month By LaDonna Burgess Mr. and Mrs. Milton Hodges have been entertaining guests this past month. They were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Yerger and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Thaut, of Billings, Mont. Mr. Henry Kerger and Mrs. Carl Thaut, are Mrs. Hodges brother and sister. Also spending several days with the Hodges were Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Hodges of Idaho Falls. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Gor-haof Maritosh, Calif., spent a week with the Hodges. While there they had their child blessed by Kenneth Rose. He is Mr. and Mrs. Milton Hodges first m After- wards they had a dinner. Out of town guests were, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hodges and children, Shirley and Kenneth of Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Rose and children, Melanie, Neil, and Michelle, of Garland, Mrs. Veloy Lyn-vill- e and son, Phillip and Mrs. Rosella Hill of Ogden. Mr. Willard Call, his son Dee, and daughter, Mrs. Gwen Hansen, left for Arizona Monday. Sunday visitors at the Call home were Mr. and Mrs. Steve Call of Vernal. Mr. and Mrs. George Hales had dinner and spent the afternoon' with their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Max Hales. Mrs. Ervin Jensen was in Ogden visiting Mrs. Roselyn Draper who is in the hospital. Visiting the Ervin Jensens like to take this opportunity to thank. You have not only been more than willing to share your news with me, but you have also reacted favorably to my attempts at reporting. The Honeyville news this week would like to send out congratulations to Mrs. William Ellis who celebrated her 75th birthday recently. To honor her on this occasion, her daughter, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Anderson gave her a special birthday party. She invited the brothers and sisters of Mrs. Ellis and most of them were able to attend. If not, it's a new It's Thanksgiving musical group formed V--', By j:ilen Cook Saturday was Ensign Richard Jensen who is stationed in Pennsicola, Fla. He is the son of Lt. Colonel Retired and Mrs. Merrill Jensen, former residents of Garland, now living in Bountiful. 'if f- - Richard is the Jensens grandson. Mr. and Mrs. Jensens daughter, Mrs. BevaLynn Archibald of Bountiful visited them Monday. Mr. and Mrs. David Manning were on the Howell Ward program in Sacrament meeting Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Munns iV- - - Elder Ralph Evans Elder Evans Is (Donna) Bowen, Mr. George E. Ward, Mr. Moroni Ward, Mr. and Mrs. Golden C. Ward and Mr. and Mrs. A. E. (Lucille) Carlson. Instead of bringing presents to the affair, those attending were asked to write any special memories they had of their sister. These were read at the party after which refreshments were served, including a large sheet cake decorated by Mrs. Sue James. An early "Thanksgiving dinner" took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Forsgren last Sunday. Attending the feast was Mr. and Mrs. Gary Worthington and their daughter, Tracy and a friend, Mr. Paul Midyett, all week. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Parkin- son and their daughter, Ter-r- i Ann, spent Saturday and Sunday in Rexburg visiting of Arizona. They had flown up to this part of the country to get in a little pheasant hunting. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Leon O'Dell, Mrs. Phyllis Worthington and son, Jimmy, Mr. and Mrs. VaNyle Arbon, Mr. Richard Forsgren and Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Worthington and their children, Carol and Bryan. We are sorry to lose from pur town Mr. and Mrs. William White who are moving to Maine. To show appreciation for the White's friends- hip, their neighbors got n together at the Ralph home for a neighborhood party. A potluck supper was enjoyed by those attending. The Whites were presented with a beautiful painting signed by all their neighborhood friends. Kelly Walker, who was injured in a powerline accident a few months ago was allowed to spend a few days at home with his family. Although he is back in the hospital now, he is reported to be recovering quite well from his injuries. Everyone in Honeyville wishes him continued improvement and we want him to know that our thoughts are with him. A special day took place for Cory Dale Bingham, the son of Mr,, and Mrs. Byron Bingham. Little Cory was blessed on Sunday and family and friends were there to help celebrate the occasion at a dinner. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bingham and daughters, Eva and Rachel, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Braegger and their children, Kathy, Sheryl, Marianna and Donald. Other family members there were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bingham and children, Alta Faye and Benjamin, Mr. Lynn Bingham, and fiancee, Teri Forr est, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Braegger and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Braegger and daughter, Melissa. Friends who were present were Mr. and by Bear River High School Spanish Club members. "La Honda de Osos" means "The Bear's Style." The musical group is learning new Spanish songs and dances. "La Honda de Teresa Nieto, Lola Roche and Mathew Reid, Diana Tello, Gracie Tello, Tina Zangroft. "La Honda de Osos" are planning to perform around the local areas this school year. Wayne Dalton, and daugh- ters, Kay Lynn and Linda, attended a relatives funeral in Roy Thursday. Mrs. Dalton stayed with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Sheffer. Chad Dalton came home Sunday to attend Darwin Thompsons farewell. Mrs. William McCulley is in the McKay Dee hospital. She was operated on Elder Ralph Evans, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Evans of Garland, wiU. be hjredjjj a homecoming' Nov. 21 at 5 p.m. in the Garland Stake Center.
