Miss Meyer is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Meyer of Garland. The groom-to-b- e is the son of Mrs. Harold Hughes of Oregon and the late Harold Hughes. The couple will be honored at a reception in the cultural hall of the Garland East 1 Civic Club -- Will Meet Senior Citizen Center in Logan. The contest is open to anyoiio 10 years and older. Botb men and women who can sew, knit, or crochet, but are not professionals, are eligible. The garment may be knitted, sewed, or crocheted as long as it is made of wool fabrick or media, and is at least 70 percent wool. The catgories are: Pre-tee3 years; Junior, Ward chapel that same evening from 9 p.m. The bride-to-b- e will be attended by Irene Hawkes as maid of honor and Fanice Busenbark as bride's maid. The groom's best man is Blair Anderson of Garland. Miss Meyer will be hosted at a bridal shower tonight at the home of Joyce Deakin. 7-- The Garland Civic and Home Arts will have their next meeting Thursday, Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the lower level of the Garland Library. The special Mi- thC - ' Susan Bofs and Bud Grover Susan Batis Will Wed Bud Grover Mr. and Mrs. John Batis of Tremonton announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Susan, to Bud Grover, son ol Mr. and Mrs. Wayne E. Grover of Garland. The couple will exchange vows on Nov. 26 in the Ogden IDS Temple. They will be honored that evening at a reception at Bowcutt's Reception Center in Tremonton from 7 to 9 p.m. A wedding breakfast will be hosted at Chase's Charcoal House in Tremonton. Susan's attendants will be Shelli Batis, Debbie Grover, Barbara guests who there are the youth group called "Up With People", showing a short will be Wamsley film and Mrs. Curtis Madsen of Garland. Mrs. Madsen will show her "Holiday Festivities" to the club, which will be fun and interesting to see. The hostess for the evening will be Mrs. Sue Poulter. Last month the club met with the Civic and Home Arts Club of Tremonton to have Mr. Dan Jones speak on political issues, but at the last minute Mr. Jones was unable to be there. Mr. Don Chase was present and led the ladies in a successful discussion on politics. Next month will be the Christmas social. Yv gowns. Flower girls will be Stacy Batis and Jenny Lynn Lemon.
