November LEADER-GARLAN- 4, 1976 Couple Will Wed On November 12 The LEADER Mr. and Mrs. Monte of Thatcher are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Tonja, to Neal Hess. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Hess of Did-ericks- - NLAPW Meets At IS Alice Spencer of the Salt Lake branch. Mrs. Alvaretta Rytting was responsible for the program and introduced Mrs. Diane Potter of Garland who gave a demonstration on all stages involved in making ceramics. She brought along a lovely display of the ceramics she had made. All of the ladies were impressed with her talent. Home Of Iris Schow The Box Elder Branch of the NLAPW met at the home of Miss Iris Schow in Brigham City Thursday evening for their October meeting. Branch president, Mrs. Mary Woodward and Hal Barfuss Deweyville. The couple will trade vows on Nov. 12 in a service at the Thatcher-Penros- e Chapel. meeting prior to the program presentation. Gaylene Shaw Will Perform Piano Recital Free Tiirkey Miss Gaylene Shaw, student of Lucretia Rhodes of Garland will perform a piano and organ recital Sunday, Nov. 7 at 3 p.m. at the Garland Tabernacle. The program will consist of "Dream of Love" by Franz Liszt, "Fantastic Impromptu" by Frederic Chopin, "Hopak" by M. Moussorgsky, all on the piano. Doris Shaw will perform a vocal solo, "Caro-Nomfrom "Rigoletto" by Verdi. Miss Shaw will then perform on the organ, "Thais Meditation" by F. Massenet, "Alice Blue Gown" arranged by Jesse Crawford. Switching back to piano, she will perform "Mala-guena- " by Ernesto Lecuona. Doris Shaw will perform "My Own America by Allie Wrubel, followed by a read- Cah Dicoiimt mm? e" ing, "I am the United fc P1m 4 c Gaylene Show States" by Bryan Buchanan. Miss Shaw will conclude the program with an organ solo, "Stars and Stripes Forever," by John Philip Sousa. The public is invited to attend.
