Over 100 people attended the monthly event with Carvers, Romano's Macaroni Grill and Outback Steakhouse sponsoring the activity and providing some of their signature food items. All of the restaurants donated the proceeds from the admission fees to the Guest House. The IHC Guest House provides accommodations for patients and Captivating Radio Dramas for the Whole Family! This often includes treatment for oncology (cancer treatment), and those with newborns new-borns in the hospital's intensive care unit. Individuals and families fami-lies are referred to stay at the Guest House by any hospital in Utah County, although there are visitors from across the state. The Guest House provides a place to stay close by loved ones and be close to medical treatment. Daril Magleby, the Chair of the Chamber's Board of Directors, presented Jim Murphy, Executive Director of IHC's Celebration of Health Foundation with the donated do-nated revenue. "It was a fantastic opportunity to host the Business After Hours. It gives us a chance to show what the foundation is doing to help the people of Utah County. We get great support from the business community," Murphy said. "I'm glad there's a Guest House here. People really need one of these accommodations when they need that special care." Said Max Broadhead, Chef at Carvers. Sean Varner, of Outback Steakhouse and Brandon Le Doux of Romano's Macaroni Grill, also agreed that the community com-munity appreciates the help it receives. o X S h i . ,. Mr. Olivera will be performing a collection col-lection of songs on the organ that will be fun for all ages. He will be playing big band, country, classics, clas-sics, and more. Mr. Olivera was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and started playing the pipe organ at the age of three. At twelve, he became the youngest student to enter the University of Buenos Aires. By the time he was eighteen he was head of the organ department and had performed more than 350 public concerts and recitals. In 1965, Hector Olivera was of fered a scholarship to the Juilliard School of Music in New York, where he continued his organ or-gan studies. Mr. Olivera has performed throughout the world, including performances in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan, Holland, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom. Olivera's European tour received highly favorable reviews and much public acclaim. His tours throughout the United States have been highly praised as well. John Reinthaler of the Washington Post said. "Olivera... entertained his receptive audience audi-ence with a dazzling display of sonic and technical marvels... Olivera is an engaging performer who clearly has found his particular par-ticular niche and fits it splendidly." splen-didly." The Atlanta Journal wrote, "Olivera swept his audience audi-ence away with absolute Olympic Olym-pic organ virtuosity, and that still doesn't say it... enough to put Olivera in a class by himself." Hector Olivera is a dedicated and talented musician whose very personal interpretations of music mu-sic literature prove popular with diverse audiences worldwide. Heritage Music in association with UVSC, Art Smart, and the Roland Corporation are sponsoring sponsor-ing this event on December 9 at 7:00 p.m.The concert will be held at Foothill Elementary School, located just west of Cascade golf course. The address is 800 North 1200 South in Orem. A $2,000 organ will be given away that night, courtesy of Heritage Mu sic along with free organ lessons.
