In many ways, we exceeded our lofty expectations. Our Provo Reed Smoot Award Banquet and Orem Arthur Ar-thur Watkins Award Banquet were very well attended. We honored several very outstanding outstand-ing leaders and accomplished people in both communities. We had informative speakers at our monthly All-Member All-Member meetings throughout the year, and well should we as it is our responsibility to keep our members enlightened about important business and com munity affairs. On a lighter side, we have welcomed many new businesses into the world with ribbon cutting cut-ting ceremonies; we have also sponsored parades, Christmas activities and monthly Executive Execu-tive Buffets " which is a great way for members to get to know one another. We also initiated several annual activities in 1990, including includ-ing the Chamber of Commerce golf Tournament and plans for the January Ski Sundance Day. As you can see, we have had a busy year. Take advantage of your Chamber membership and encourage en-courage your business friends to join. The Chamber is a vehicle through which we band together We're proud to be a member of the ProvolOrem Chamber of Commerce and we wish you success in 1991 SHARON'S CULTURAL EDUCATIONAL RECREATIONAL ASSOCIATION Since 1933 to identify and attack problems which effect all of us. The Chamber is a clearinghouse clearin-ghouse for community thought and action, and a place for people workinsr together to make their community a better place to work and live. The Chamber is a voluntary volun-tary organization " which means you can choose whether or not you want to reap the benefits of active Chamber involvement. Chambers of Commerce have been filling the need for programs and projects to assure that there the climate of our business world and our consumers con-sumers marketplace remain strong. Solving the problems of the marketplace is no easy task, but with your dedication involvement, involve-ment, the job can " and will " be done. I want to personally thank the Board of Directors, and all chairpersons and committees who were involved in any way for such a great and successful 1990 in the Chamber of Commerce.
