She attended I schools in Orem I . and attended Brigham Young University. She was an active member of the LDS Church and held positions of teacher, visiting teacher, President of the Sharon Stake Primary and President of the Sharon Ward Relief Society. She served as President of the Timpanogos Federated Womeh's Club, Orem Lady Lions Club. She was active in the political area where she served as hostess to the International Women's Legislators in 1973, she served in the Utah House of Representatives in 1947, being the only woman elected in her district. . Survivors include: three sons; Harold Pyne and Dee Pyne both of Orem; Max E. Pyne of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; one sister, Merle Jacobs of Pleasant Grove; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-. great-grandchildren. One son and one daughter preceded her in death. Graveside services will be Thursday Thur-sday at 11:30 a.m. in the Orem City Cemetery. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery. Patrick H. Jones Patrick Henry Jones, 70, of Orem died at his home Friday , May 25, 1 984. ' He was born March 17, 1913, to Samuel Johnson John-son and Effie May Finn Jones. He married Evelyn Ellison on July 2, 1934. She died March 26, 1965. He married "Nadine" Mary NaDene Duke Jones on Nov. 26, 1965. She died June 18, 1978. liVZJ He received his education in the Provo City and Salt Lake City schools. He graduated from Provo High School. He attend Brigham Young University. After his marriage he and his wife made their home in Provo where he worked for Mountain bell Telephone Company for 39 years. He retired in 1974. He was serving as a Test Desk-man Desk-man at the time of his retirement. ' He moved to Orem in 1965 where he resided until his death. He was a member mem-ber of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was also a member mem-ber of The Sons of the Utah Pioneers and Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was raised by Rhonda McCullough, his step-mother. . Survivors include two sons: George R. Jones, Salt Lake City; and Samuel J . Jones, St. Louis, Mo.; one step-son and one step-daughter: Timothy O.S. Jones, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Mrs. Samuel J. (Sherry) Jones, St. Louis, Mo. He was preceded in death, by one son, Paul C. Jones and by a brother. Also surviving are five grandchildren, grand-children, four great grandchildren; one brother and four sisters; S. Thomas Jones of Orem, Mrs. Rex (Edith) Johnson, John-son, Ogden; Mrs. Jessco (Mildred) Nixon, Provo; Mrs. Virgil (Marion) Harris, Mesa, Ariz.; and Mrs. Jay (Helen) Jeppsen, Bountiful.
