Each Utah school chosen has at least 200 former students currently current-ly on the BYU campus. Those students were canvassed by telephone and asked to name the three high schoolteachers in preferential order who had the greatest impact on their education. Results were tabulated and Adrienne Morris and E. Vance Calder were chosen in a race too close to call. Therefore the sponsors chose to honor them both. Adrienne Morris was born and reared in southern Idaho. She received receiv-ed her B.A. in 1963 in English and taught freshman English while doing her graduate work.
