Ward, 75, of Orem, died Saturday, April 24, 1982, in Provo. He was born November 14, 1906, in Carey, Idaho, to John and Annie Louise Davis Ward. He married Mariam Jean Lee, December 21, 1940, in Butte, Montana. He was a retired Civil Air Patrol pilot and retired miner and farmer. far-mer. Survivors include his .wife; one daughter, Mrs. VipgHl (Susan) Miller of Caldwell, Idaho; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two brothers, Eynon Ward Jerome, Idaho and Theron Ward of Twin Falls, Idaho; several stepbrothers and sisters. Keene, 74, of 385 E. 200 South, Orem, died Monday, April 19, 1982, in the Utah Valley Care Center in Provo after a long illness, Born in Montezuma, N.C., August 11, 1907, to George Frank and Sally F. Wills Keene, he married Lillian Charlesworth in Denver during 1929. They were later divorced. He married Ann Kurfess, April 27, 1968, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was educated in Tennessee and worked as a railroad trackman until entering the U.S. Army Enginners in 1926. He received a medical discharge from the Army in 1928. He entered the retail grocery business in the 1930s. Before moving to California in 1954, he had been with Safeway as a manager for eight years and owned his own market for nearly a decade. After arriving in the Los Angeles area he worked as a manager for Huges Markets. After Burial retiring in 1971 ne moved to Orem.
