Mr. Rhees was born Feb. 2, l'J05 in Pleasant View to Reuben Thomas and Mary Rebecca Tucker Rhees. He married Frances May Cragun and she died in 1929. He married Thelma La Von Ward on June 17, 1931 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Among the survivors are his son Dr. Reuben Ward of Orem. Burial was in North Oyden Cemetery. Meldrum, 63, 227 W. 400 S., Orem, passed away May 14, 1974, at a local hospital. She was born Nov. 15, 1910 in Provo to Lawrence Jay and Lillian Calder Salisbury. She married Marvin Everett Meldrum Mel-drum on Aug. 28, 1933, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mrs. Meldrum was a secretary sec-retary and a housewife. She was a member of the Vertiga Club of Orem, and the secretary secre-tary of the Provo Bench Canal since 1957. Mrs. Meldrum was an active church worker, was a Primary teacher while in high school, Stake Era Director, Jr. Sunday School Teacher, and Coordinator. Coordin-ator. She served as 1st and 2nd counselor in the Relief Society. She was also secretary secre-tary of her Ward Genealogical Committee. She has served as project clerk in the Orem 4th Ward Bishopric. Survivors include her husband, hus-band, two daughters and one son, Mrs. Jerry (Carol Jean) Jensen of Orem; Mrs. Harry (Kathy Ann) Sutherland of Rex-burg, Rex-burg, Idaho; Larry Joe Meldrum Meld-rum of Pleasant Grove; 14 grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Lillian Salisbury of Orem; one sister and three brothers: Mrs. Afton Stubbs and Jay Salisbury Sal-isbury of Boulder City, Nev.; Francis Salisbury of Pleasant Grove; and Keith Salisbury of Murray. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Orem 4-5 Ward Chapel, 860 S. 100W. David Scott Roper The infant son of Paul and Linda Marie Biggs Roper of Orem died Friday, May 3, in a Salt Lake Hospital. lie was named David Scott Roper and was born May 2, 1974. Phillips SALT LAKE CITY - Funeral services for Jerry Nk'lson Childs Phillips, 41, of 3645 S. 610 E., Salt Lake City, who died of cancer Thursday at her home, were held Tuesday in the Milkreek Third Ward Chapel. Cha-pel. Mrs. Phillips was the sister of Mrs. Kent (Julie) Scovill, Orem. She was born Aug. 24, 1932 in Huntington, Emery County, to Ford and LaVon Jones Nielsen. Niel-sen. She married Kenneth C. Childs on June 8, 1950 in Huntington, and he died Jan. 2, 1967. She married Bland C. Phillips on July 25, 1968 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Burial was in Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Funeral Rites For Mr. Clark May 10 Albert De Lorma Clark Jr., 81, 665 S. 500 E., passed away Wednesday, May 8, 1974. Mr. Clark was born in Panguik'h, Utah on June 16, 1892, to Albeit De Lorma, Sr. and Mary Ann Brown Clark. He married Virgie May Winn on Mav 16, 1917 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He served a mission for the LDS Church to the British Isles in 1915. He was the Branch President of the Oakland Branch. While living in Woodland Summit Sum-mit Co., he served as Sunday School superintendent and taught MIA. He was bishop of the Wood Ward from June 1931 to June 1936. He and his wife served a mission to the Eastern Eas-tern Atlantic States. Among the survivors are his wife of Orem; 1 son. Dr. Paul D. Clark of Rockford, Illinois; twy sisters, Laura Clark and Zella Clark Adam-son, Adam-son, both of Provo; 10 grandchildren grand-children and 9 great-grandchildren. He was born May 10, 1921 in Tropic, Garfield County, to Henry A. and Sarah Mable Kappleye Jolley. He married Laureeu Wateilyn on June 12, 1947 in Elko Nev., and they later were divorced. Funeral services were held Friday in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, Provo. Burial was in Provo City Cemetery with military rites accorded by Vl' W Post 2162. Nellie H. Hurst Nellie Harvey Hurst, 75, of of 991 W. 100 N., Provo, died of a lingering illness this morning morn-ing at her home. Mrs. Hurst was the mother of Thomas Hurst of Orem. She was born March 22, 1899 in Hastings, En-land, to William Will-iam and Susan Harvey Harvey. She married Thomas Hurst on June 9, 1919 in Hastings. Funeral services were held Saturday Lyle E.
