Show Former Orem Woman Dies Suddenly Elizabeth Sumner Marshall Cox, 52 Las Vegas, a former resident of Orem and Provo, died Sunday at the Utah Valley Hospital. She was visiting her family for Mother's Day at the time. Mrs. Cox married Benjamin Parks Marshall, May 24, 1940. He preceded her in death. She Married Jack Cox recently in Las Vegas, Nev. She attended schools in Orem and graduated from Lincoln High School with scholastic honors. She also attended Brigham Young Universtiy. Mrs. Cox is survived by three sons, James Bradney Marshall, St. George; Steven Ben Marshall, Provo, and Robert Eugene Marshall, Mar-shall, Ogden; two grandchildren, her mother, Mts. Zona E. Bradney Brad-ney Sumner of Orem anc one sister, sis-ter, Mrs. George (Katharine) Boyce, Edgemont. Funeral services are pending and will be announced. Funeral Held For Lucette Kohler, 85 Funeral services were held Monday for Lucetta Clegg Kohler, Koh-ler, 84, of Orem, who died May 17 in a Pleasant Grove resthome of causes incident to age. She was born May 3, 1883 in Heber, a daughter of Fred Louis and Emma Caroline Luke Clegg. She married Fred Kohler Koh-ler Oct. 22, 1908 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Dec. 30, 1961. She was an active member of the LDS Church. Survivors include two sons and five daughters, Mrs. Don (Leola)! Sackett and Mrs. Wilson ( Bex-neice) Bex-neice) Thacker, both of Orem Mrs. Rhea Stanley of Salt Lake City; Ray F. Kohler and Earl J. Kohler, both of Midway; Mrs. Harry (Blanch) Lindsay, Erie, Penn., and Mrs. Frank (Ruth) Stanton, Toburon, Calif.; 16 grand' children, 20 great-grandchildren, and three brothers and two sisters, sis-ters, Luke Clegg, Lula Clegg and Mrs. Genevieve Madsen, all of Provo and Martello Clegg and Reed Clegg both of Fresno, Calif. Mrs. Ford was born March 12 1893, at Heber, Utah, to James Brierley and Priscilla Roberts. She married William Ford September Sep-tember 19, 1917, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died September Sep-tember 19, 1960. Mrs. Ford received her early education in Heber schools and moved with her parents to Park City where she completed her education. She lived in Provo foUowing her marriage but moved to Orem in 1923 with her husband hus-band and family and resided there until her death. She assisted her husband with his sheep business, spending the summer months on the sheep range. Her Orem residence was the third home built in Orem and still stands as a landmark. She was an active member of the Latter-day Saint Church serving serv-ing in the Relief Society presidency presi-dency for many years. She was a visiting teacher all her life and seved in the MIA and Primary organizations. Her hobbies were quilting and fancy needle work. She is survived by seven sons and one daughter: Mrs. Arzell (Melba)Mecnam, Salt Lake City: Joseph V. Ford, Leo J. Ford, Philip E. Ford, all of Orem; William Dean Ford, Centerville, Utah; Elwood L.Ford.Montclair, Calif.; Don H. Ford; Upland, Calif.; Mont K. Ford, Centerville, Center-ville, Utah; 34 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers bro-thers and three sisters: Mrs. Hannah Thomas, Salt Lake City; Heber Orson Brierley, Vallejo, Calif.; Mrs. Neil (Lillie) Anderson, Ander-son, Redwood City, Calif.; Mrs. Chris (Mary)Steffensen,Redwood City; J. W. (Bob) Brierley, Heber. He-ber. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Orem 18thWard. Bishop McKinley Thomas will officiate. of-ficiate. Davis, 85 Funeral service were heldWed-nesday heldWed-nesday in Provo for William Burdell Davis, 88, 766 E. 2650 N., Provo retired farmer and steelworker, died Sunday at the Utah Valley Hospital of natural causes. He was born Oct. 2, 1910, in Provo, a son of Burdell Thomas Thom-as and Martha Frances Hall Davis. Da-vis. He married Martha Ashton in 1899 and she died and she died Sept. 21, 1901. He married Sarah E. Ashton onFeb. 19, 1904, and she died Aug. 11, 1907. He married Flossie Kitchen on Dec. 24, 1910, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Mrs. Davis died Oct. 10, 1959. Mr. Davis received his education educa-tion in the Provo City schools and followed farming for most of his life. He worked for a time as Utah County Road Supervisor, and was employed as a foreman at Geneva Steel Plant when it was built. He also worked for a time Services Held For Mother of Five Orem Residents Funeral services were held in Provo, May 6 for Grace Izora Payne Hardy, 76, 1211 E. 460 N., Provo, who died May 3, 1968, AS Deputy Sheriff of UtahCounty. Active in the LDS Church, Mr. Davis was a high priest and had worked on the Old Folks committee com-mittee for many years His hobbies hob-bies were fishing, hunting, and gardening. Surving are three sons and six daughters, Fred W. Davis and Mrs. J. Allan (Maxine) Keith of Provo; Orvil B. Davis, Lindon; Mack Davis, Heber; Mrs. Barlow (Maud) Pace of Loa, Utah; Mrs. E. Kay (Faun) Vest of American Fork; Mrs. Sheldon T. (Naomi) Warwood, Mrs. Charles Char-les H. (Leona) Hatch, and Mrs. John D. (Ruby) Stratton of Orem; 43 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; three great -greatgrandchildren; one brother and one sister, Dell B. Davis of Edgemont and Mrs. Zora Gray of Provo. Interment was intheEastLawn Cemetery. in the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo following a stroke. She was born Nov. 29, 1891 in Springville, a daughter of Daniel Dan-iel and Lydia Johnson Payne. She married Danzil Hardy Sept. 4, 1912 in the Salt Lake, LDS Temple. Tem-ple. He died Aug. 1, 1965. Mrs. Hardy was educated in Springville schools. After her marriage she made her first home in Provo. They lived in Garfield and Bingham Canyon for a time and 1924 returned to Provo. She has resided here since. She later became an active member of the First Church of Christ Scientist. She enjoyed gardening, knit-ing knit-ing and fancy needle work. Mrs. Hardy is survived by four sons and three daughters, Mrs. Arthur E. (Jacqueline) Miller, Mrs. Ralph (Thelma) Cherrington, Payne D. Hardy, Jesse W. Hardy and Golden Hardy, Har-dy, all of Orem; Mrs. L. H. (Fern) Corbett, Westminister, Calif.; and Ted Hardy, Santa Maria, Calif. - Burial was in the Provo City Cemetery.
