And you certainly cer-tainly weren't going to spend the night outside in 15-degree temperatures for the privilege of taking a number to stand in another line later in the day on the off-chance of getting a ticket to the current buzz film (this year it is "Masked and Anonymous," in case you were wondering). But now that the Sundance banners are up on Main Street, there is a familiar film festival electricity in the air and you don't want the entire experience to pass you by. Not to worry. There are several ways to weasel into a screening or two. GET ON A WAITING LIST First of all, grab an official program, read as many of the film capsules as you can and pick a few that sound interesting. Commit the tides to memory. Then jot down the times each one will be shown during the fest and cross-reference the screening times with your job, your kids' school schedule and various other commitments. When you have pinpointed a specific screening, what the heck, call the box office (649-4333) or stop by. It is located at the Gateway Center, 136 Heber Ave. and is open Mon.-Sat. 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. They just migt still have an individual screening ticket ($10) available. Probably not, but it's worth a try. However, even if it is sold out, do not give up. At any given screening a number of seats have been set aside for VIPs (the filmmaker's mom, agents, prospective buyers, etc.). The unfilled seats are doled out based on wait-list numbers that are handed out one hour before the film is scheduled to be shown. Thirty minutes before showtime the reserved seats are released. So get to the theater an hour early, bring a ten spot because it is cash only. After you get your number, enjoy a half hour or so of prime people-watching (Hey, isn't that Roger Ebert?) Then get back to the mosh pit to see if you are one of the lucky ones to get a seat. If not your $10 will be refunded. The bigger the theater (Eccles and the Santy auditorium are the biggest Park City venues) or the more obscure the film, the better your chances are of getting in. Please see Tips on page 32 fcgy !! M ' Enjoy a 60-minute Mountain Stone Massage and a 60-minute Sugar & Spice Mango Body Wrap. Two hours of relaxation, warmth, and exfoliation for $212 will leave you polished and ready to hit the films full force. Standing in line in the wind and cold, smoke-filled rooms, and lack of sleep will wreck havoc on your face and hair. Experience a 60-minute Oxygen Renewal Facial and 60-minute Hot Oil Exhilarating Scalp I Treatment for $198 and you'll be back to your beautiful "In Style" self in no time. i '(.mn A i wjiI iw ft u i ItsJfih, nMuT 1 x. 1 l itc t 'A' i if i) lafi'S "ln-r p ' r tM ii i i t iliiiHh til i l l l 1 i l tJ! tm-i '.''
