The answer is simple: use the FREE Park City bus system. This incredibly valuable and reliable service is absolutely free to visitors and locals alike. And with parking becoming more of an issue each year with paid parking making mak-ing its debut tomorrow, it only makes sense to hop on a bus that drops you at any number of different differ-ent locations around Park City. In addition to alleviating parking park-ing hassles for yourself and actually actual-ly helping the environment (every bit helps), you may even learn a little lit-tle more about Park City. Because when you ride the bus, you never know who you're going to meet, from friendly and informative drivers dri-vers to interesting and intriguing regular riders. And it's not like our bus system is like that of New York or L.A. People on Park Cityls buses really are friendly and willing will-ing to help when you're not quite sure how to get to your desired location. Once you've ridden the bus a few times, you'll see just how easy, and, at the same time, how timely and reliable the system is. The buses run approximately every 20 minutes from 7 a.m. to just past 1 a.m. through the winter months. Not only are the buses timely, but there are numerous stops throughout through-out town. Simply look for the blue signs on the street you live on or he establishment you are departing for a fast, friendly ride to where you want to go. A silver and blue bus is sure to come by shortly. The main routes around Park City are concentrated between Park Meadows, Thaynes Canyon, Prospector Square and Main StreetDeer Valley. In other words, you can get just about anywhere in town you want, whether it's shopping shop-ping or dining on Main Street, skiing ski-ing at Deer Valley or Park City Mountain Resort or simply heading head-ing back to your hotel or condo after a day on the slopes. Once on Main Street, a turn-of-the-century trolley takes shoppers and diners alike up and down the street from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. And if you happen to be on Main Street after 1 a.m., whether your job kept you there or you were partaking in the after hours fun, a trolley will shuttle you to City Park, which is also an excellent place to park for no cost. As far as the transit system is concerned, call 645-5130 any time for a bus schedule recording. Also beginning with the New Year is the annual Utah Winter Games for top athletes and weekend week-end warriors, alike. The Utah Winter Games offers clinics and competitions for anyone interested in numerous events, including alpine and nordic skiing, snow-boarding, snow-boarding, ice skating, hockey and just about any other winter sport imaginable. For information on what clinics or competitions are available, or to register, call the folks at the UWG office at 801975-4515. Enjoy and Happy New Year! By the academy award nominated director direc-tor of Secrets and Lies comes this new dramatic comedy about two women who were college room-mates and get together ten years later to reassess their lives and their relationships. Rated R. TWO THUMBS UP! a twectfu v cuw . sua u iiv L m kM Hi BMMMSM "Wheel of Hearts, " a duet which explores circular momentum, time and space. This piece was originally commissioned by the Bates Dance Festival and comes to Ririe-Woodbury through a generous donation from the Marie Eccles Caine Foundation. "Wheel of Hearts" will have its Salt Lake City premiere May 1 and 2 as a part of RWDC's last performance of its season, titled "Under Construction." "Wheel of Hearts" is a progression, pro-gression, circular in form. In the beginning a dancer winds around her partner at the center, then unwinds; coils, then uncoils, until the two are furled into the space in a flurry of motion. The dancers bound, bank, tumble and whirl in a highly articulate play of partnering while surging along all possible surfaces. It journeys forward, dramatic in moments, sportive in others as recurrent movement pulls the dancers back into the core when they began. The music is by The Benedictine Monks of Santo Domingo de Silos, Jaron Lanier and Toby Twining. If it's a big occasion or a smaller accomplishment, let us tell your neighbors.
