Show Page A6 Thursday, May 21, 1992 Park Record Affordable housing allowed in Light Industrial Zone The City Council voted unanimously May 14 to approve an ordinance amending the Land Management Code to allow affordablemoderate income housing in the Light Industrial (LI) Zone through the master plan development process. A public hearing was held during the meeting, during which time no public input was received. Earth Day license approved The City Council approved the master festival license for Earth Day in City Park during the May 14 Council meeting, after it was reviewed by Police Chief Frank Bell. Earth Day, at least Park City's version, is scheduled for June 6 this year. Search and Rescue team receives governors award The Summit County Search and Rescue Team was recently awarded for their unselfish volunteer efforts by Governor and Mrs. Norman Bangerter. The Utah Council of Volunteers were co-hosts of the event. Each award winner has exemplified the strong spirit of volunteerism that Utah has been built upon, stated Colleen Bangerter, honorary chair of the Utah Council of Volunteers. These volunteers have given their time, ideas, and enthusiasm to make our state a better place for all Utahns. I commend and thank each one of them for their efforts. Among the winners were Summit County Search and Rescue, of Coalville. In 1991 Search and Rescue members spent 1,820 hours in training and 800 hours in other business. There were 33 notifications of searches- 24 on National Forest Land, nine on private properties, and 1 0 on medical assist. Man hour cost and equipment cost value donated by the organization was in excess of $63,000.
