All interested citizens are invited to attend. Mapleton has a large canal running from the mouth of Spanish Span-ish Fork Canyon through the city of Mapleton and over to Hobble Creek in Springville. The canal is on the east side of town, around 1200 East. It is now being piped and covered by the Central Utah Water Conservatory District. At the present time, with existing ex-isting property rights and easements ease-ments owned by the Bureau of Reclamation, there is a NO TRESSPASSING policy along the canal. Piping the canal makes it safer and provides an opportunity opportu-nity to apply for an easement for PUBLIC USE if requirements are met and acted on promptly. ' The Mapleton Trails Committee Commit-tee would like to invite all residents resi-dents to come and gain information informa-tion concerning this project. It is also important the residents be given the opportunity to express their concerns about the Maple 2008 sma Art Royalty applications available All interested sophomore and junior girls from Springville and Mapleton are invited to pick up an application to become a member mem-ber of the Art Royalty for 2008: 2009. Gina Bailey named SMA Volunteer of the Like many Springville citizens, Gina Bailey drove by the Springville Spring-ville Museum of Art often, thinking think-ing she should make time to visit soon. That visit came about over a decade after she moved to Springville, and her only regret is that she didn't visit sooner. Bailey was named Volunteer of the Month at the museum for this month. Bailey has been a volunteer at the museum since 2002 and has loved every aspect of it. She says, "I enjoy seeing all the art work. Having lived in Springville Spring-ville for about 15 years before I started volunteering, I had a desire de-sire to go to the museum but just didn't make the time.
