She like many others has an interesting in-teresting talent. She likes to style hair. She started when she was five, and was inspired by her sis-ten sis-ten She practices by styling her mom's hair every other night. When she grows up, she is interested in-terested in a career as a hair dresser, makeup artist, art-ist, or in joining the U.S. military. Allison likes to play soccer soc-cer and volleyball. Her favorite animal is a bear and class is choir. If she could go anywhere in the world,1 she would go to New Zealand. Her life's goal is to get a job and be a good mother and wife. Brittnee Richardson and Jasmine Prestwich SJHS STAFF WRITERS Friday, Feb. 9, was the day the battle of the bands took place in the SJHS auditorium It started at 6:30 p.m. with the Black Sheep Wahl. Then Intricate Antics An-tics played. Third was Van ishing act and 4th to go was Zero Presence, a 2nd place winner who won 41 dollars. The 5th group to play was The Monster That Ate Tokyo. This was a very good band who had lots of fans doing a mosh pit at the end jof their song. They even threw mild taco bell sauce packets at the fans that said different things. Unfortunately, they got disqualified for going over the time that was allowed. The 6th group to play was One Man Short. They are a traditional favorite in this competition and they won 1st place which was 62 dollars. They did everything ev-erything right, their singing sing-ing got the fans going and their drummer and guitarist guitar-ist were very good. At the end, they threw out their drum sticks and signed them! Dylan Mooney played songs on his guitar during dur-ing the breaks while the other bands were setting up. It was a paying gig for Dylan. After all the fun, it ended around 10:15, a bit later than what was planned. It was another successful year's fundraiser fund-raiser for the Girl's basketball bas-ketball team.
