Heselton Allan Verne Heselton, 26, of Springville, died Monday, April 27, 1981 in Green River, Wyo. from injuries sustained in an industrial accident. He was born Nov. 13, 1954 in Worchester, Mass., to Verne and Elizabeth Jacobsen Heselton. He married Shelly Annette Sorenson Jan. 18, 1974 in Orem. He was educated in Massachusetts and graduated from Grafton High School, where he was lead drummer for the band. He attended Utah Technical College and worked in contracting for Stubbs Real Estate and Construction. He was working for Serra Ready Mix Co., in Green River at the time of his death. He was an active member of the LDS Church serving as an Elders Quorum secretary. He did missionary work in Massachusetts. He is survived by his wife,, Springville; two sons and a daughter, Miken, Chad John and Heidi Heselton, all of Springville; his father and step mother, Mr. and Mrs. Verne Heselton, North Carolina; his mother, Elizabeth J. He was born Nov. 2, 1919 at Mapleton, the son of Loren Andrew and Harriet Johnson Nielson. He was married to Velma Olsen Nov. 28, 1945 in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. Mr. Nielson was a skilled finish carpenter and cabiner maker and his work is many homes in the area. Active in the L.D.S. Church he served in the Stake Mutual Presidency, as Sunday School President and Ward Clerk. He was an avid sports fan and an accomplished gardener. He served in the U.S. Armv Engineers during World War II. Surviving are a wife, Springville, one son and live duaghters, Gary Neilson, Highland; Mrs. Dean (Nancy) Allen, North Carolina; Mrs. Calvin (Barbara) Robertson, Mrs. John (Lesa) York and Jayne Nielson all of Springville. He was born July 23, 1896, at Fort Worth, Texas, the son of William Henry and Hattie Abye McAmally Speckman. He was married to Pearl Leona Hancock Oct. 19, 1919, at Jasper, Tenn. Mrs. Speckman died in 1978. He has been employed as an auto mechanic most of his life. He was a veteran of World War I and had lived in Arvada, Colo, until four years ago when he came to live with his daughter in Mapleton. Surviving are three daughters and one son: Mrs. Bill (Mae Earsel) Myer, Mapleton; Mr. Bernard (Gladys Marie) Muchlenkamp, Oberlen, Kansas; Mrs. Norman (Betty June) Watson, Arvada, Colo; Leon Earsel Speckman, Dallas, Texas; a granddaughter grand-daughter and grandson whom he raised, Mrs. Ralph (Daun Marie) Long and Robert Leon Pritchard.
