Community Presbyterian The Springville Community Presbyterian Church, erected in 1893 and located at 245 South 200 East Street, has been placed on the State and National Historic Register. On Saturday, May 16, a presentation program will be held at the church at 2:30 p.m. Special guests will participate, and representatives of the Utah state Historical Lou Jene ill. Carter art show scheduled for Fossum Gallery Paintings by Lou Jene M. Carter, will be on exhibit during May at Fossum Gallery, 94 No. 400 West, Provo. The exhibit will run from May 8 through June 5. An award-winning artist, her work has been represented in many regional and national shows. At present her pastel drawing, "Teresa" is included in the Annual National Drawing Contest at the Terrance Gallery, Palenville, New York. Albert Handell, famed pastelest was juror. She received her art education at Utah Technical College, BYU, and Gloucester Academy of Art, Gloucester, Mass. She has studied with Kent Goodliffe, well known Provo artist, and Daniel E. Greene, of New York, nationally known portrait artist. She will show both oil and pastel pieces, in "Teresa" a pastel by Lou Jene M. Carter, is presently included in the annual national drawing contest at the Terrance Gallery, Palenville, New York. Springville Pool Summer Splash May 16th 1:00-5:00 P.M. It provided education for elementary grades through high school for all denominations, and was in use until 1913, when it was merged with Wasatch Academy, at Mt. Pleasant, Utah.
