Show Wednesday, December 20, 2006 A3 "TO" it Man convicted of tampering with internet services receives sentence Ryan Fisher, 24, of Vernal, was convicted of using SBT's password to reprogram their network, causing 170 customers to lose their internet service for three weeks. On Dec. 13, Fisher was sentenced to 24 months in prison followed with 36 months of supervised release. Fisher's crime caused $65,000 dollars in damages and even caused a man awaiting information infor-mation concerning an organ donor via e-mail, to lose his internet service. US District Judge Paul G. Cassell ordered Fisher to repay the $65,000 he caused in damages. Fisher had access to the passwords because he had formerly for-merly worked for SBT. He left because of financial and business busi-ness disagreements. He went on to work for and then own a competing internet service. Vernal Express A . Man found guilty of child rape A two-day jury trial ended yesterday with a guilty verdict ver-dict for 39-year-old Thomas Joseph Jo-seph Chrisman. Chrisman was charged with three counts child rape, six counts rape, and one count forcible sodomy. Charges were filed in May after af-ter a 17-year-old girl revealed in an interview that Chrisman had sex with her approximately 50 times over the past four years. " According to the court file, she provided detailed accounts of numerous incidents of sexual sex-ual activity between them. The first occurred in a van when she was only 13 years old, and the most recent occurred in April of this year. The 17-year-old was taken into protective custody after the interview and Chrisman arrested arrest-ed at his work. During the same ceremony, his mother, Amy Struthers received her Master's Degree in Elementary Education. Brandon graduated from Uintah High School in 2000 and was the Science Sterling Scholar. He currently resides in Logan with his wife, Bethany and son William. He has accepted accept-ed a position with Sumaria Systems in Ogden, and will begin employment at Hill Air Force Base in January. Amy graduated magna cum laude from USU and currently cur-rently teaches second grade at Discovery Elementary.
