Jeanne Sanchez attended the Madeleine, Julie Ann and Jes-sie Sanchez and Marjorie Sax enjoyed skating at the S and M Rink on Redwood road last Sun-day night. Boy Scout Troop No. 112 un-der the leadership of Bob Ivie and Raul Gonzales enjoyed swim ming at Saratoga Tuesday night. Fourteen children helped to celebrate the fourth birthday of Debra Hardman, Wednesday at her home. Host and hostess to the party were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hardman. Cake, ice cream and punch were d. She received many lovely gifts. A surprise party was given in honor of Martha Miya on her 16th birthday Thursday evening by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Miya. It is the annual bingo and bazaar meeting. Prizes for bingo will be given. Please try and make an attempt to attend. An enjoyable time is planned. Also the new P-T- A officers wUl be announced. Julian Brown, Mrs. Alfred Sanchez and Mrs. Veldon Gray attended the P-T- A council meet-ing held at Mt. Jordan Jr. High school at which the new Jordan District P-T- A officers were in-troduced. Past officers, Mrs. Ethel Evans, Mrs. Agnes Johns-ton and Mrs. Betty Gillam were presented tokens of appreciation for their work in the P-T-Guest of honor was Mrs. Nona Carrigan, a past president. The Home Guard cooking class roller skated in the pym Tues-day afternoon and then made their own dessert "Angels on Horseback". The Senior Youth Fellowship, after their business and worship meetings Tuesday night enjoyed a taffy pull. Twas the first such experience for several members. One of Miss Duhigg's hospital calls this week was on Mr3. Sid Tregaskis in LDS hospital, Salt Lake City. Mrs. Trcgaskis was a former Highland Boy neighbor. She and her husband live in Too-ele. She is reported improving and hopes to be at home soon. Highland Boy women's craft class have just completed a sew-ing project of childrens garments and have packed and mailed a box for overseas relief. Mia Maids of Bingham Ward MIA held their rose tying cere-mony Tuesday night according to Mrs. Irene Shatter, YWMIA president. The program honored the girls completing require-ments for individual achieve-ment awards. Pins were present-ed to the girls by their mothers. Receiving pins were Sharon Por-ter, Frances Slotte, Ann Marie Sybrowsky, Carol Hoglund, Mad eleine Sanchez and Karen Moss. Mothers present were Mrs. J. D. Porter, Mrs. Paul Slotte, Mrs. Axel Sybrowsky, Mrs. Alfred Sanchez and Mrs. Ira E. Moss. Guest speaker was Mrs. Bud McDonald. The rose bouquet was tied 'by their - leader, iMrs. John Anderson. Also in attendance was 'Mrs. Slhafter, Fire Auxiliary were entertain-ed Monday night by Mrs. Ann Hennings. Prizes at bridge were won by Mrs. Pave Prigmore, first; Mrs. Lucille Bianchl, sec-ond, and Mrs. Ruth Householder, consolation. Lovely refreshments were served to twelve members. All sisters are invited to attend. Members of the Linger Longer club were entertained at the home of Mrs. Gordon Buckle of Magna Tuesday night. Mrs. Pe-ter Smith was an invited guest. Prizes at contract bridge went to Mrs. J. T. Davis, first; Mrs. John Nilsson, second; Mrs. Aimer Berg, consolation, and Mrs. Smith, bingo. Mystery sisters was held. Lovely refreshments were served. Mrs. Lola English, teacher at Highland Boy school, entertain-ed at the school foe pre-scho- ol children who win be entering first grade next fall and their parents last Friday. Special guests were Miss Mildred May and the school nurse, Mrs. Erma Fahrni. Two films were shown the children and a talk was giv-en by Mrs. Fahrni. George Massa Jr., Robert King and Jack Hawkins visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Young of Salt Lake City last Fridav night. Mrs. Pina Azzelio, Joo and Mike Loverich spent the day Wednesday in Tooele visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Primo Lovat. Mrs. Milka Smilanich spent Sunday visiting with her son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Smil-anich of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Henry Keysaw and her daughter, Mrs. Kenneth King entertained at a birthday party LARK NEWS Diane Reed, Phone 908-J- 1 LARK DATES FINAL MEETING FOR APRIL 30 Final meeting of the Lark Ele-mentary School P-T- A for the current school year has been set for next Monday night, April 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the school, it was announced. Officers recently reelected to office will be installed during the program. Committee chair-men will give reports, and num-bers will be given by Lowell Hicks' grade school band. The annual "farewell program" will be presented by the sixth grade. Officers to be installed are: Mrs. Boyd Stevens, president; Mrs. Joseph Tibolla, vice presi-dent, and Mrs. Robert Foist, sec-retary and treasurer. The public is invited. Second Lt. and Mrs. Ned Mill-er and daughter, Vickie Lynn, left last Thursday to make their new home at Blytheville, Ark. Lt. The entire 461st Bombardment Wing has been transferred to the Arkansas base. Prior to their de-parture, Mr. and Mrs. Zane Du-mo- nt and family entertained at a family dinner in their honor. Lark Ward Mutual held their beehive building and rose tying ceremonies Tuesday evening, April 24. Both groups had 100 per cent eligibles for the cere-mony and participating. Beehive girls participating were Dixie Reed, Lorraine Rostrun, Sonja Reed, Mary Ann Lindsay, Mar-ilyn Holladay, Virginia Nielsen, Joyce Peterson, Billie Lee Mor-gan, Polly Abplanalp and Sue Ellen Rasmussen. MiaMaid girls taking part were Lois Fahrni, Sheila Rasmussen, Jackie and Pat Dalley, Nancy Nealiy, Judy Oliver, Nel&a Robinson, Marsha Walker, Kay Peterson and Ileen Robinson. Light refreshments were served. Mrs. Clyde Gillam, Mrs. Dick Rubright, Mrs. Floyd Reed, Mrs. Boyd Stevens and Mrs. Zane Du-mo- nt attended the annual state P-T- A convention held in Salt Lake City Wednesday and Thurs day. Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Reed and family were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rindiesbach of Riverton. The monthly bingo party was held Wednesday, April 18th. A lovely time was had by all. Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Peterson left Monday, April 23, for St. George. Mrs. Peterson will re-turn about May 1st. Primary preparation meeting was held Wednesday, April 25th in Lark Ward chapel.
