Show Whiterocks Virginia Ferguson Phone 353-4584 Whiterocks group has chicken fry The Whiterocks Branch held their annual chicken fry at Bacon Park last Monday night. The fry was well at tended with about 75 members and friends present. The group enjoyed fried chicken, corn on the cob, rolls, salad, punch, pies and ice cream. Kirk and Darla Draney were weekend visitors with Loren and Zella Pike. The Dean Bagleys .enjoyed a two-day two-day visit from Coene's sister 'and children, Teresa Jenkins, Nancy and Tracy, of Pocatello, Idaho. Aaron Pass, son of Dale and Marcy Pass of Chandler, Ariz., visited the , Bagleys for two weeks. Dale Pass will be remembered as the piano tuner who made frequent visits to the area. Dean and Katy Bagley drove Aaron to Salt Lake City where he was met by his parents and returned home. While in Salt Lake, Dean and Katy visited Dean's parents, Earl and Alice Bagley, and also Brent Bagley and his son, Corey, who were visiting with the Earl Bagleys. The Bagleys then drove to Provo where they visited with Belinda Belin-da before returning home. Carl and Darlene Hegberg and son, John, 14, of Sandy, were two-day visitors with the Dean Bagleys. Janna Dickey is in Ephriam at Snow College at a leadership conference in connection with the business club at school. LaRae Moosman has been enjoying a one and one-half week visit from her sister, Rosalie Ostler, of Tremonton, with her seven children. Rosalie's husband hus-band brought her to Orem where LaRae picked her up and brought her to Whiterocks. While here, the children practiced riding calves for the Little Buckaroo Rodeo held last Thursday night. Following the visit, LaRae drove her sister and children to Orem to visit their parents, Norval and Fay Kitchen. Can you believe 16 children in the house and all of them having a ball! Matt and Virginia Ferguson spent last week in Denver at son Brace's home, where they attended the PGA championship golf tournament at the Cherry Hills layout. In addition to the beautifully manicured fairways, smooth undulating greens and thousands of people, the Ferguson's enjoyed eating hot dogs at $2 each-hunger each-hunger is one thing that can't be denied. Roger Lee and Annette Roberson of Orchard Grove, Wash., and their three children, Roger Lee III, 4, Amanda, 3, and Aaron, 8 months, spent a week visiting Roger and Lavcrnia Roberson. From there, Annette An-nette went to visit her parents In Delta, Colo., while her husband went on to Sacramento on a business trip, as he Is a metalurgist. Ronald and Cindy Roberson with their son, Michael, 5, and daughter, Kaly, 2, were weekend visitors with the RoRor Robcrsons. The men enjoyed en-joyed fishing trips Into the Uint3S and were enthusiastic about the fishing while the children played In the tents set up in the yard, giving the women lime to visit and relax betwwn chores. Mr. end Mrs. L.II. Young of Orem were weekend visitors with Drlma Long. Following the visit, they left In their camper for Wyoming and other areas on their vacation. Prc-Scltool: Farm Bureau Talent Find set for Aug. 23 The annual talent find has been set for Friday, Aug. 23 in the Vernal Junior HighMiddle School auditorium, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The show is sponsored by the local Farm Bureau and is opened to all interested in-terested persons up to 30 years of age. Gee and family of Scott Air Force Base in Illinois Il-linois arrived Monday to spend a vacation vaca-tion with their parents, Ray and Vergie Gee and Mr. and Mrs. Pierce Sharp. Also spending the weekend here were Charlie and Leri Dawn Smith and son of Provo. Sunday the Ray Gee family honored him on his 80th birthday with a family dinner. Reva Ruppe is convalescing at home after undergoing open-heart surgery at the IDS Hospital in Salt Lake City recently and spending several weeks at that place. Visiting her over the weekend were Elwin and Velda Simmons Sim-mons of Moses Lake, Wash. Elwin is Reva's brother. Victor and Uvene Manwaring and family of Ferndale, Wash., have been visiting here with his mother, Elva Manwaring. Accompanying the Man-warings Man-warings back to Washington were Sherry Manwaring, daughter of Ver-din Ver-din Manwaring, who has spent the past month here with his brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Loya Ann Manwaring, Manwar-ing, and Shane Manwaring, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Manwaring also of Washington who has been visiting here. Cleve and Elaine Karren of Denver spent last Sunday through Wednesday with Kermit and Yvonne Harrison. Elaine and Yvonne are sisters. Frank and Kay White were in Cloverdale, Ore., last week where they 1 went to attend the funeral of Frank's . mother: Carma Stevens took care of their boys while they were gone. Ray and Murial Nash went to Salt Lake City Saturday to attend a family fami-ly reunion. They returned home Sunday Sun-day evening. This area was saddened by the death of a long-time resident, Raymond Lind, last Wednesday morning. Among those coming from out-of-town were Dave and Debbie Lind and son of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Lind and daughter and son-in-law of Sandy, Frank and Katie Colton of Salt Lake City, Ned and Hazel Calder of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lind of Salt Lake City. Lloyd and Carl, and Katie and Hazel are sisters and brothers of Raymond. Orval, Carma, Janna Rae and Cully Cul-ly Stevens spent Sunday evening In Roosevelt where they went to see their little granddaughter and niece. Sheena Stevens on her first birthday.
