Talking to Mason, the guitar company, along with his current band and his current music, seemed to be his focus. He said that he didn't worry loo much about the highlights of his career. "Looking back in retrospect, there were some great moments working with some great people," said Mason. "I don't know quite how to put it into words. I don't look at it quite the same way other people do." When pressed to note his favorite project, though. Mason did note one experience that seemed to stand out from even the brighter moments. "Recording and getting to spend time with Ilendrix," he said. "He was the most innovative." Now though, in his concerts, Mason said his primary focus was on the works he had written or helped to write. "There's stuff from the Traffic period, from when I was with Traffic," he said. Mason will return to the area after playing a show at The Canyons Resort in the spring of 2004. He said he enjoyed playing in Park City. His only other words about his show were simple ones. "Just come in and have a good time; that's what it's all about," he said. "The show is great, the band is great, and everybody will enjoy it."
