Ligety goes first. His sidekick will be Bode Miller, the highly versatile World Cup points leader who won his third world championships Sunday in supcr-G. The men's combined is set for Thursday but there was talk Tuesday night of changing the schedule as weather predictions said it may be too windy, so organizers may have to spread it over two days. Perhaps it will be two runs of slalom Thursday and then the abbreviated downhill Friday. "We've got no expectations at all for Ted in the combined," said men's Head Coach Phil McNichol. "We've put him in there because it will get him some extra time on the slalom hill, and that's where we look for him to do something - in slalom at the end of Worlds" on Feb. 12. "Everyone's getting the clue that Teds been blazing through slalom courses, even winning one run of a World Cup slalom. So, if we can get him more comfortable on this slalom hill, who knows what can happen?"
