Show Robert M. Clark I CLEARFIELD Robert M. I "Bob' Clark, 71, passed away I Monday, Dec. 10, 1990 after a val- I iant fight with cancer. I He was bom Dec. 3, 1919 in I Clearfield, a son of James Edward I and Albertha Burt Clark. I He married Gwen Delores Keyes I June 20, 1941 in Ogden. Their mar- I riage was solemnized in the Ogden 1 LDS Temple April 22, 1989. She I preceded him in death Oct. 22, I 1990. I He was a lifelong resident of I Oearfield and graduated from I ' Davis High School and Weber Col- I ' lege. He was an all-state football I j and basketball player at Davis High I ' School, where he also ran track and I j played baseball. He lettered in foot- I . ball, basketball and baseball. He I also played football and basketball I I at Weber College. I , He was an elder in the Clearfield . I First LDS Ward. He played on the I '. Clearfield First Ward all-church , volleyball team. He rode with Laytn City Police as a reserve officer ?j 0 was com- mander of the Davis County Jeep v patrol for 10 years. He retired from l" Hill Air Force Base ai a foreman , over precision instruments and . equipment. 1 He served with the U.S. Navy , during World War n with the con- , 1 struction Battalion Unit in Iwo . Jima. He was an avid and highly skilled P fisherman and hunter. Surviving are two sons and two ' daughters, Jim and Cheril Clark, j Farmington; Bob and Nancie Clark, i , West Point; Janene Clark, Cincin-; Cincin-; nati, Ohio; Scott and Pat Gian-; Gian-; chetta, West Point; 11 grand-, grand-, children. Also surviving are two .". brothers and four sisters, Grant Clark, Charles Clark, Ethel White, Lois Johnson, Donna Milden, Albertha Finnerty. He was preceded in death by his r brothers and one sister, Clyde, "; Mildred, Ralph, Cyrus, William. - Adrin, Everett and Stanley. Funeral services were held Dec. 13, at the Clearfield First LDS Ward chapel. Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery, where military honors were accorded by the VFW.
