Show i Freezing death accidental w FARMINGTON The death of a 44-year-old woman whose frozen body was found at the mouth of Farrnington Canyon has been -ruled accidential due to hypothermia hypother-mia and intoxication, a Davis County Coun-ty Sheriffs Department spokesman said. The body of Julianne Shultz was . found Dec. 7 by city police after her husband reported that she had been . missing overnight. w Sheriff's Detective Mike Olsen .said his investigation indicated the death was accidental. : Olsen said that the woman was depressed and went to the canyon to V h drink and be by herself. The evidence indicates that she fell asleep in the passenger side of the car and sometime during the night woke up and got outside the car, then locked herself out. She had attempted to break a window and while walking around the car fell down a nearby embankment. em-bankment. After sliding down a 30-foot incline, in-cline, she was unable to get back up to her car. Due to the effects of hypothermia made worse by intoxication intox-ication she apparently lapsed into unconsciousness and froze to death, the sheriffs investigator said. |
