Center to present Davis art BountifulDavis Art Center presents the Davis Competition, July 5-Aug. 2. The exhibit features art work by present and former residents of Davis County. The 61 works by 43 artists in this multi-media show include: water-colors, water-colors, oil paintings, pastels, lithographs, etc. This event provides an opportunity opportuni-ty for the public to see some of the outstanding and interesting art work being produced in the community. An opening reception to honor the artists will be held Thursday, July 12, 7-9 p.m. Winners of the competition will be announced in a short ceremony at 8 p.m. The public is invited. Gallery hours are: Monday, Mon-day, 5-9 p.m.; Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday-Sunday, 2-5 p.m.
