Assertive training class offered for youth Davis County Mental Health is offering an assertive training class for youth, ages 13-17. This four-week four-week course will help people identify iden-tify the difference between passive, aggressive and assertive behavior. Ii will provide instruction, discussion and practice in handling peer pressure, making and refusing requests, coping with criticism, developing de-veloping self-esteem, expressing positive and negative emotions, giving giv-ing and receiving compliments and increasing communication skills, especially with parents. The class will meet on Monday and Thursday mornings, from 10-11:30 10-11:30 am, at the Bountiful office, 470 Medical Drive, beginning July 23.
