Show VHS reflections contest Viewmont High School has announced an-nounced the winners of the 1990 Reflections contest. The contest is a national FT A-spon sored fine arts event. Students can enter any of four categories-art, literature, photography photogra-phy and music. They must all address ad-dress the same theme and are judged on the merit of their work. This year's theme was "Where the Sky Bids." Seventeen of the 80 entrants placed andor received cash awards. Duane Wesemann received a first-place prize in art. Tanya Ravsten received a first-place award for her photography. Jean Haley and Amnion Jones both took first place in music, and Kim Addams and Angela Dunn received first-place honors in literature. Second-place awards were presented to Heidi Gloshen in the art category and Duane Wesemann in photography. Third-place honors were awarded to Aaron Jones, music; Tara Brandon, photography; Bradford Mathews, art; and Angela Didericksen, literature. Honorable mention recognition was given to Jennifer Burkey, photography; pho-tography; S teph anie B ailey , art ; Amy Robinson, art; Marc FuUer, literature; and Rebecca Adamson, literature. Judges for the school competition were Norma Forsberg, art and photography; pho-tography; Linda Wells, literature; and Jean Davies, music. Four of these students were selected as first place winners in the council level contest and will now represent Viewmont in the district competition. They are; Jean Haley, for her performance of "The Climb" on the piano; Tanya Ravsten, for her winter photograph of a railroad track, entitled "Who Said the Sky Ended,"; Stephanie Bailey, for her acrylic painting entitled en-titled "Bubbles"; and Angela Diderickson, for her story about a young boy and his grandfather, entitled en-titled 'Where Does the Sky End?'
