Show Eagle Scouts j Ruston B. Hadley has earned the Eagle Scout Award. He will receive this highest award in scouting at a Court of Honor to be held on May Kent Reimann of Varsity Team 6734 was honored Saturday, May 9 at an Eagle Court of Honor for achieving the Eagle Scout rank. He leaders and friends who helped in his quest for the Eagle and hopes to use the skills learned to help others. Jason G. Campbell, son of Fredric and Sharon Campbell of Centerville, will be honored at an Eagle Court of Honor Sunday, May 17. j Ruston has enjoyed en-joyed scouting,1 especially the campouts and the Jamborees that he has attended. He has learned many skills to help him throughout his life. is the son of Paul and Elizabeth Reimann of Bountiful. Learning many subjects, Kent earned 29 merit badges, eight beyond Eagle, earning him also the bronze Eagle Palm. Jason is in the! pitrhth irrarlft at - For his Eagle JX M project, he led a drive to collect food, clothing and staples for the Ogden Rescue Mission, a non-denominational non-denominational organization that helps those in need. The scouts first toured the mission mis-sion to see how it is set up to help the homeless and those addicted to drugs and alcohol. Then, after collecting col-lecting the necessary items and taking them to the mission, they attended at-tended a worship service with the residents. Afterward, the scouts helped serve the evening meal. Besides scouting activities, Ruston also enjoys soccer, hiking and he loves to travel. Ruston, a ninth grade student at Centerville Junior High, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Hadley of Centerville. also awarded the "On My Honor" award of LDS Scouting. Kent's 4.0 semester GPA this year placed him on Millcreek Junior High's high honor roll, where he also participated on this year's program pro-gram as a member of the National Junior Honor Society. He also participated par-ticipated on one of Millcreek's Mock Trial teams. Kent enjoys his friends, games (basketball is his favorite) and collections. Kent's service project involved collecting a van load of donated "warmables, toys and games for the Family Shelter serving homeless children in Salt Lake City. Before delivering those items, he and other 41st Ward scouts cleaned and repaired them. Kent thanks the many Scout o o " - Centerville Junior High School and enjoys music, basketball and his friends. For his service project, Jason organized a work crew and helped supervise work activity to install a water system pipeline at the Centerville Stake property near Kamas. The pipe will take the overflow water and channel it back into the stream. Jason would like to thank his scout and church leaders who have encouraged and supported him in his advancement in scouting. He wants them all to know that he appreciates ap-preciates their interest and work in his behalf. |
