Most of us are glad the eagle was selected over the turkey. No one would argue that turkeys are delicious additions to Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, but somehow they just don't portray a lofty national image. Turkeys are a major part of our Thanksgiving celebration. Thanks ' to new packaging and "processing techniques, they are being used more and more as a meat dish on a year-round basis. Most of all, turkeys are birds that are fun to color. They can be bright or plain, imaginary or natural. For these reasons, we have selected a flock of turkeys as the objects to color in the CThanksgiving coloring contest. All children, age ten and younger, are invited to participate. par-ticipate. To enter, color the turkeys in this picture. Identify your entry with your name, address, phone number and age. All entries must be received at our office by 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. .17. Each entry will be displayed in the Clipper office. Prizes will be given in the following follow-ing age group categories: four and under; five ami six; seven and eight; nine and ten. Entries will not be returned. Anyone wanting his drawing back, can pick it up at the Clipper office during the week following Nov. 17. |
