Show North Layton takes lead FARMINGTCN-It was a short week for play in the Davis District Junior High girls' basketball program, pro-gram, and the league leader made short work of its closest competitor on Thursday. North Layton took sole possession posses-sion of first place with a convincing 61-37 victory over previously unbeaten un-beaten Farmington at North Layton , which becomes the league leader with a 4-0 mark. Elsewhere, South Davis and Kaysville both moved to 3-1. South Davis dropped Syracuse 51-49 while Kaysville beat Centerville 62-48. 62-48. In other games of Thursday, it was Millcreek over Mueller Park 36-20, Central over Sunset 38-32, and Bountiful besting North Davis 49-40. v i Standings entering this' week's play find North Layton at 4-0, South Davis 3-1, Kaysville 3-1, Farmington 3-1, Bountiful 2-2, Central 2-2, Centerville 2-2, Millcreek 2-2, Mueller Park 2-2, North Davis 1-3, Syracuse 0-4 and Sunset 04. Games Tuesday found South Davis at Mueller Park, Sunset at Syracuse, Millcreek at North Davis, Central Davis at Farmington, Bountiful Boun-tiful at Kaysville, and North Layton at Centerville, all at 2:45. This Friday's schedule calls for Sunset to visit South Davis, Mueller Park at North Davis, Syracuse at Farmington, Farm-ington, ' Kaysville at Millcreek, Centerville at Central Davis, and Bountiful at North Layton, all at 2:45. Teams will not play again until un-til November 17 following Friday's games. |
