A large contingent of UFSC skaters made the trek to . the Sawtooth Mountains for the annual Sun Valley classic. ' Some skaters also traveled to the Colorado Championships in Denver and the St. Moritz competition in the San Francisco Bay Area. Local winners included the following: Courtney Prince, Sun Valley . showcase preliminary third and preliminary second, and in Colorado, fourth in figures and first in freestyle; ' Scott l Irvine, Sun Valley pre-preliminary first; Shannon Smith, second in juniors, St. Moritz; Shaunna Smith, fifth in novice at Sun Valley; Rachel Johnson, second in pre-rliminary, Sun Valley; Heather Sniteman, first in junior, Sun Valley, Jenni Palmer, first in juvenile; Si Moritz, second, n.
